With the ProVision 3 Shovel system, you can wirelessly
connectcommonmineplanningsystemstoanon-board
display for the shovel operator. This integration virtually
eliminates the high, recurring costs of ore boundary
survey/staking. Also, rework is minimized because
updates to the mine plan are remotely pushed to the
field. Progress lines are calculated with each bucket
and automatically recorded by shift and by shovel,
eliminating physical inspection and enabling simple
historical progress reporting.
Operators can clearly distinguish between materials
on the ProVision Shovel display by referring to an
updated mine plan, and they are warned if the material
being loaded does not match the shovel operator’s
selection. These warnings can drastically reduce or
even eliminate misdirected loads, and retrospective
reporting helps to identify training opportunities to
further improve operations.
The precise bucket positioning system of the ProVision
Shovel solution provides a real-time display of bucket
position relative to material layers at the dig face, and it
can even identify the fine grained block grade for each
bucket. The system updates the blend “on the fly,”
optimizing destination assignments and ensuring that
you meet your blend without exceeding it.
The Proximity Detection module displays neighboring
machines, triggering alarms at configured distances.
It can also enforce and track the policies of your
mine, such as requiring permission and confirmation/
rejection before attempting work.
TheProVisionsystemprovidesinstantkeyperformance
indicators (KPIs) that allow supervisors to act quickly
and give operators comparative feedback. Extensive
web-based reports not only examine each bucket in
detail but also let you summarize and uncover trends.
The centrally-managed digital terrain model enables
shared projects between any ProVision system. This
feature is especially useful when dozers are working
around shovels. It also ensures that accumulated
progress is shown, after the system is powered on, with
