Guidelines for workshop pre-work
Goal

assessment can
be leveraged (if
not already) to
assess impact on
company/
division goals
Key steps Suggestions
1. Select top 2-3 goals for the organization and
rank them in terms of importance
Limit to 2-3 goals. Focus on high level operational
goals (e.g., ensure rail infrastructure availability, train
punctuality, etc.), based on what is most relevant for
your business
2. Identify key processes contributing to reach
those goals
Limit to 2-3 key processes vs. creating a
comprehensive map
3. Evaluate risk level for top 5 processes
contributing to top goals based on risk
assessment results, and list out top risks for
each process
Consider up to 3 risks per process based on
granularity of risk assessment
4. Evaluate goals potentially at risk given risk
level in contributing processes
Qualitative assessment (e.g., on a scale 1 to 5) is
sufficient
