OmnibusCloud
Let’s build the biggest supercomputer in a history together
What is OmnibusCloud?
OmnibusCloud is cloud service for all:
 For all devices
 For all users
 For all professionals
 For all developers
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 2
OmnibusCloud for all devices
 Install our client to your desktop PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone, Xbox,
PS4 or smart TV, and your device will become a part of the biggest
computational cloud in a history.
 When you don’t need whole power of your device, it will be used for
execution tasks that our server distributes between all participants.
 This means that your home computer or game console can help 3d-
artist bring to life his masterpiece, or physicist to discover new
particle, or biologist to synthesize new medicine.

OmnibusCloud
OmnibusCloud for all users
 Every minute of usage your device will be summarized for your
account.
 Professionals and developers will pay for access to our cluster and to
your device; the most part of this money will be sent to concrete
users that compose our cluster.
 Imagine, that your smart TV will be able to pay for you Netflix account
or your Xbox will buy you a new Assassin’s Creed working with
OmnibusCloud on weekdays.

OmnibusCloud for all professionals
 At the time of launch of our service will be available 3ds Max plugin,
which will allow you to render your model as you do it using regular
render farm.
 At a later stage will be implemented plugins to speed-up basic
statistical and mathematical calculations, which are reasonable to
parallel.
 Developers will be able to make new professional tools, which use
OmnibusCloud capacities, and distribute them through our
application store.

OmnibusCloud for all developers
There are three alternatives to integrate OmnibusCloud into your
applications:
 .Net API. This API allow you to implement simple parallel constructions in a
manner quite similar to TPL.
 Script file. You will be able to implement custom logic with more complex
data types using special script language.
 Full-featured plugin for OmnibusCloud client. This approach will be available
just for premium partners and will allow you to develop fully functional
program with any custom logic you need, connect it to OmnibusCloud clients
as the plugin and then communicate with it throw .Net API.

What are the core features of
OmnibusCloud?
In addition, OmnibusCloud is:
 Lowest prices for cluster computing
 Social network to connect people who need computational resources and
people who can offer it
 Store for applications that use OmnibusCloud
 Almost endless possibilities to grow and expand
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 7
OmnibusCloud is the lowest prices for
cluster computing
 We don’t have to pay for data center facilities, for servers hardware
and software, we don't have to employ staff of administrators to
maintain thousands of machines – all of these we will get from our
users.
 We don’t exploit our users, because they anyway already had bought
their computer, already had brought it to their house and had
installed an operating system, which they already had paid.
 The user just permits us to use his device in the time he doesn't need
it, and for this permission he will get material compensation uniquely
dependent on the time his machine was used. Everybody wins.
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 8
OmnibusCloud is a social network
 Each OmnibusCloud user will get a personal page. On this page will be
displayed whole statistics of usage his devices. Every week we will
raffle special prizes for the most active users.
 The competitive element can be extra motivation to join
OmnibusCloud, but the main purpose of our social network – to bring
into contact people who need computational resources and people
who can offer it.
 Create your project group, make an announcement and find like-
minded people. Every OmnibusCloud user will be able to join your
project and provide access to his device capacity free for you, under
your project.
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 9
OmnibusCloud is an application store
 Develop application for OmnibusCloud.
 It can be plugins for different types of professional applications to
increase its speed and functionality, or it can be stand-alone software.
 You will be able to distribute it through our application store exactly
to the people who interested in OmnibusCloud.
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 10
OmnibusCloud is almost endless
possibilities to grow and expand
 The core of our service is organized the way that to add new platform
support don’t require heavy reconstruction of the system.
 In due course, we will support more and more devices, platforms and
technologies.
 Potentially, each computing device on a planet can become a part of
OmnibusCloud.
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 11
Why OmnibusCloud is important?
The mission of OmnibusCloud:
 To start using a computational capacity of client devices, which are idle most
of time for today
 To give developers a simple way to build software for distributed computing,
by managing threads and tasks, to make cluster-computing mainstream
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 12
It is important to start using a
computational capacity of personal devices
 The current trend is to transfer more and more software and services
to the cloud.
 Today at least 72% of businesses have adopted the cloud. Within 3
years, that number will reach a staggering 91% of businesses.
 Whole offices can work on virtual machines provided by Microsoft,
Amazon and other vendors.
 In many cases, it makes sense, because you can save money and time
for maintaining your computers, also this way you can transfer all
technical risks to a large third-party company.
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 13
It is important to start using a
computational capacity of personal devices
 However aggregate capacity of personal devices is much more than
an aggregate capacity of all datacenters, and it is silly and irrationally
to ignore such resources.
 Moreover, datacenters will never outrun personal devices by
aggregate computational capacity.
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 14
It is important to start using a
computational capacity of personal devices
 Each year cost for the capacity unit will be lower
 It will allow datacenter to upgrade to more and more powerful
servers for the same price, increasing their potentials:

It is important to start using a
computational capacity of personal devices
 For users will be same situation: average PC cost about $1000 -
$1500, such $1000’s PC in 2015 much more powerful than $1000’s PC
in 2010, and $1000’s PC in 2020 will be much more powerful than
$1000’s PC in 2015.
 People will still upgrade their PC at least one time in 3-5 years, so an
aggregate capacity of personal devices will grow the same way as
aggregate capacity of datacenters.
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 16
It is important to start using a
computational capacity of personal devices
 Every year will be more and more personal computational devices.
 Ten years ago one desktop PC for family was enough, but now it is
normal if you have desktop PC, 2-3 laptops, several smartphones,
tablets or even several game consoles
 The least powerful device is more powerful than expensive
workstation ten years ago.
 There is no real difference between desktop PC and tablets or any
other computational device – all of them can do much more
complicated work than sending e-mails and browsing Facebook.
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 17
It is important to start using a
computational capacity of personal devices
 There are billions of computational devices, which are idle most of
their time.
 Ability to use this army of computers is a key to success.
 We can build efficient infrastructure right now, with orientation on
that billions of computational devices that users have today.
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 18
It is important to give developers a simple way
to build software for distributed computing
 We can provide developers the easiest interface for implementing
parallel calculation.
 Today cloud hosters such as Microsoft, Amazon etc., can provide
simple tools to create computational cluster on their servers
 However easy to create a cluster, not the same as easy to program for
such cluster.
 Working with such systems require very specific skills for developers.
Not everyone can start to work with such clusters immediately.
© 2015 OmnibusCloud 19
It is important to give developers a simple way
to build software for distributed computing
 OmnibusCloud can take on the most of peripheral work by managing
tasks and provide simple API, intelligible for all level programmers.
 Certainly, it makes work with our cluster less agile than, for example,
work with Hadoop, but we trade some agility to maximum
affordability
 Our goal is to make parallel calculation mainstream, teach to use
distributed computing as many developers as possible.

In addition, OmnibusCloud is:  Lowest prices for cluster computing  Social network to connect people who need computational resources and people who can offer it  Store for applications that use OmnibusCloud  Almost endless possibilities to grow and expand © 2015 OmnibusCloud 7
  • 8. OmnibusCloud is the lowest prices for cluster computing  We don’t have to pay for data center facilities, for servers hardware and software, we don't have to employ staff of administrators to maintain thousands of machines – all of these we will get from our users.  We don’t exploit our users, because they anyway already had bought their computer, already had brought it to their house and had installed an operating system, which they already had paid.  The user just permits us to use his device in the time he doesn't need it, and for this permission he will get material compensation uniquely dependent on the time his machine was used. Everybody wins. © 2015 OmnibusCloud 8
  • 9. OmnibusCloud is a social network  Each OmnibusCloud user will get a personal page. On this page will be displayed whole statistics of usage his devices. Every week we will raffle special prizes for the most active users.  The competitive element can be extra motivation to join OmnibusCloud, but the main purpose of our social network – to bring into contact people who need computational resources and people who can offer it.  Create your project group, make an announcement and find like- minded people. Every OmnibusCloud user will be able to join your project and provide access to his device capacity free for you, under your project. © 2015 OmnibusCloud 9
  • 10. OmnibusCloud is an application store  Develop application for OmnibusCloud.  It can be plugins for different types of professional applications to increase its speed and functionality, or it can be stand-alone software.  You will be able to distribute it through our application store exactly to the people who interested in OmnibusCloud. © 2015 OmnibusCloud 10
  • 11. OmnibusCloud is almost endless possibilities to grow and expand  The core of our service is organized the way that to add new platform support don’t require heavy reconstruction of the system.  In due course, we will support more and more devices, platforms and technologies.  Potentially, each computing device on a planet can become a part of OmnibusCloud. © 2015 OmnibusCloud 11
  • 12. Why OmnibusCloud is important? The mission of OmnibusCloud:  To start using a computational capacity of client devices, which are idle most of time for today  To give developers a simple way to build software for distributed computing, by managing threads and tasks, to make cluster-computing mainstream © 2015 OmnibusCloud 12
  • 13. It is important to start using a computational capacity of personal devices  The current trend is to transfer more and more software and services to the cloud.  Today at least 72% of businesses have adopted the cloud. Within 3 years, that number will reach a staggering 91% of businesses.  Whole offices can work on virtual machines provided by Microsoft, Amazon and other vendors.  In many cases, it makes sense, because you can save money and time for maintaining your computers, also this way you can transfer all technical risks to a large third-party company. © 2015 OmnibusCloud 13
  • 14. It is important to start using a computational capacity of personal devices  However aggregate capacity of personal devices is much more than an aggregate capacity of all datacenters, and it is silly and irrationally to ignore such resources.  Moreover, datacenters will never outrun personal devices by aggregate computational capacity. © 2015 OmnibusCloud 14
  • 15. It is important to start using a computational capacity of personal devices  Each year cost for the capacity unit will be lower  It will allow datacenter to upgrade to more and more powerful servers for the same price, increasing their potentials: © 2015 OmnibusCloud 15 0 200 400 600 800 1000 1200 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 Approximate cost per GFLOPS 2001 – 2007 ($/year) 0.00 0.20 0.40 0.60 0.80 1.00 1.20 1.40 1.60 1.80 2.00 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 Approximate cost per GFLOPS 2011 – 2015 ($/year)
  • 16. It is important to start using a computational capacity of personal devices  For users will be same situation: average PC cost about $1000 - $1500, such $1000’s PC in 2015 much more powerful than $1000’s PC in 2010, and $1000’s PC in 2020 will be much more powerful than $1000’s PC in 2015.  People will still upgrade their PC at least one time in 3-5 years, so an aggregate capacity of personal devices will grow the same way as aggregate capacity of datacenters. © 2015 OmnibusCloud 16
  • 17. It is important to start using a computational capacity of personal devices  Every year will be more and more personal computational devices.  Ten years ago one desktop PC for family was enough, but now it is normal if you have desktop PC, 2-3 laptops, several smartphones, tablets or even several game consoles  The least powerful device is more powerful than expensive workstation ten years ago.  There is no real difference between desktop PC and tablets or any other computational device – all of them can do much more complicated work than sending e-mails and browsing Facebook. © 2015 OmnibusCloud 17
  • 18. It is important to start using a computational capacity of personal devices  There are billions of computational devices, which are idle most of their time.  Ability to use this army of computers is a key to success.  We can build efficient infrastructure right now, with orientation on that billions of computational devices that users have today. © 2015 OmnibusCloud 18
  • 19. It is important to give developers a simple way to build software for distributed computing  We can provide developers the easiest interface for implementing parallel calculation.  Today cloud hosters such as Microsoft, Amazon etc., can provide simple tools to create computational cluster on their servers  However easy to create a cluster, not the same as easy to program for such cluster.  Working with such systems require very specific skills for developers. Not everyone can start to work with such clusters immediately. © 2015 OmnibusCloud 19
  • 20. It is important to give developers a simple way to build software for distributed computing  OmnibusCloud can take on the most of peripheral work by managing tasks and provide simple API, intelligible for all level programmers.  Certainly, it makes work with our cluster less agile than, for example, work with Hadoop, but we trade some agility to maximum affordability  Our goal is to make parallel calculation mainstream, teach to use distributed computing as many developers as possible. © 2015 OmnibusCloud 20
