Objective:
To broaden my teaching, leadership and management experience beyond the nursery context in which
I have served as Nursery manager.
To utilise the range of new skills I have acquired in recent years to contribute to lead, guide and support
a team which provides high quality Early Childhood Education and care to the children.
To further continue my ministry of nursery teaching in the service of a wide range of young people as
I oversee the ongoing delivery and operations of the nursery program by working closely with
stakeholders including staff and parents.

Responsibilities/ Achievements:
Established Ladybird Nursery in Damascus following the EYFS curriculum as
well as incorporating some of the Montessori system.
Support and supervise all centre staff and ensure daily organization of staff
Promote a healthy team environment and develop positive channels of
communication to ensure smooth running of the centre.
Lead, guide and support staff to plan, implement and evaluate programs
suitable to the individual needs and interests of children.
Lead, guide and support staff to create a safe, supportive, stimulating and
educational environment for the children.
Lead, guide and support staff to maintain ongoing records of the child’s
development and daily information.
2007- Implemented a curriculum targeting children from age 18 months to 4
years. Assisted in the preparation of a special curriculum and books for
Ladybird nursery.
2008- Implemented a program to be inclusive of special needs children.
Produced and sang in a collection of Ladybird CDs as a supportive tool to the
curriculum.
2009- Opened the second branch of Ladybird nursery. Recruited and trained 50
teachers over the period.
The nurseries welcomed approximately 185 children every year.
4. Participated in different conferences and presentations regarding special needs
children and early childhood in Syria, Lebanon and UK.
The British embassy in Syria chose Ladybird Nursery as one of the best in the
country. Hence, an invitation to participate in many conferences across Syria
and the UK.
