Good day!
I am writing to be considered for a position with your company. I am 38 years old
and am an Italian citizen. I am able to work and relocate anywhere within the
Europe. With over 10 years of experience in the Ship Chandling industry, primarily in
sales and purchasing, operations and logistics, and public relations, I believe that I
could contribute significantly to your company. I love the challenging nature of this

My Ship Chandling career began in 1997 with Oceanmar Marine Supplies in New
Orleans, Louisiana, USA. My primary responsibility was purchasing and public
relations but I contributed to all aspects of the business. For example, I negotiated
new contracts with ship owners, coordinated deliveries, boarded vessels, interacted
extensively with ship captains, officers and crew chiefs, and contributed to
warehouse management and inventory. We were very successful, but in 2005
Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and, like so many businesses, we were
forced to close. However, Oceanmar Marine Supply sparked my passion for this
challenging but rewarding career, and during my time there, I gained tremendous
experience and technical knowhow in many facets of this industry.
In 2009, Mr. Bruce Margolin and Mark Pontiff, President and Vice President of The
Wilwel Group (Alliance Supply Management LTD) hired me as a Purchasing Agent
for a new branch in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was thrilled to be part of their team and
excited about being involved in starting a new branch. In addition to purchasing, I had
the opportunity to contribute in a number of different ways to the success of our new
branch. For example, I had the opportunity to negotiate with new vendors, work with
software to streamline purchasing, inventory and deliveries. I also coordinated with
vessel brokers for spare part acquisitions, handled bonded items and all customs
paperwork and gained additional operations and logistics experience as I coordinated
ETA/ETD with vessel agents, and deliveries with launch services and elevators.

2. In short, I am very proud of my work at Alliance, especially considering the Ship
Chandling industry in New Orleans was still recovering from the effects of Hurricane
Katrina. I gained a tremendous amount of business experience and further reinforced
my love for this industry.
While at Oceanmar and Alliance, I had the opportunity to meet, interact, and get to
know people of many backgrounds from all over the world. I enjoy that very much
and am very comfortable and effective when meeting and interacting with new
clients, vendors, ship owners etc. Ship Chandling truly is an international business,
and I believe strongly that, given the dynamic nature of our industry, my interpersonal
skills coupled with my technical knowhow and business experience allow me to
quickly understand customer’s needs and mitigate any eventuality.
I am now living in Italy but I am able to relocate anywhere within the EU and am
