HIstory
Working with Chef Peter Gordon, the restaurant’s founders were the first to introduce
gourmet burgers to the London market, creating a menu that combined 100% beef
with the freshest ingredients and sauces made from scratch every day. They stuck to
the basics with an unwavering focus on freshness, taste and quality, and in doing so,
started the GBK journey.
Their fine crafted burgers include the favourite Classic Cheese to the more adventurous
Blazing Sombrero, Camemburger and Buffalo. They serve over 10,000 customers a day
and develop and test their burgers and milkshakes on a monthly basis, with the favourites
making the cut to the main menu.
Those who are burger hungry know what they like, or craft their own unique
combinations from GBK’s list of fresh ingredients and sauces. From the first bite to the
last you won’t be disappointed and you’ll definitely be coming back for more!
In 2001, three New Zealanders set up the first GBK in Battersea, South London. Their
mission was simple – to create a fresh, quality burger reminiscent of the gourmet
burgers they were used to back in New Zealand.
With 59 restaurants across the UK, GBK continues to grow both locally and internationally
with franchise operations in Ireland, Greece, the UAE, KSA and Oman.

After spending more than three decades honing his skills and perfecting the art of
cooking Sichuan, Hunanese and Cantonese cuisines, Chef Chow Man is renowned for his
signature specialities, delivering only the best from his kitchen.
Passionate about food from an early age, Chef Chow Man holds a Diploma in Hotel
Management as well as Food Production Management. Nominated for various
prestigious awards, Chef Chow Man won the ‘Best Performance Award of the Year’ in
2001. He was also awarded the Blue Ribbon Golden Award by the French Restaurant
Association in 2006.
Starting as a Chef at the Guangzhou Beijing Grand Hotel in 1989, Chef Chow Man moved
on to several other establishments as a Sous Chef, including the Wang Hing Restaurant
and The Yien Yieh Commercial Bank Ltd. With over 30 years of experience, he has
also worked at the Jin Yuen Restaurant in China and at Royal China in New Delhi as an
Executive Chef before starting his tenure with Lite Bite Foods.
Today, Chef Chow Man acts as the Pan-Asian Cuisine Consultant at Lite Bite Foods. His
various responsibilities include conceptualising menus, standardising recipes, new recipe
development and pricing to name a few - all of which contribute to the overall growth of
the restaurant.

Designed like a long Kerala house boat, the restaurant features a culinary experience

Zambar was founded by Mr. Amit Burman, Chairman Lite Bite Foods and Mr. Rohit
Aggarwal, Director Lite Bite Foods in 2010. At present there are three Zambar
outlets in India - New Delhi, Gurgaon and Pune and one in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The Brand and Cuisine head of Zambar is Chef Arun Kumar. Not your usual chef, he is a
graduate of St. Stephens College and has previously worked as a journalist and filmmaker.
With his passion for cooking, Chef Arun has dedicated himself to the revival of the
traditional, delicious home cuisine of South India, so rarely found in restaurants or hotels.
By only using the best locally grown seasonal produce and keeping the cooking process
simple, Chef Arun has brought a truly coastal experience to all the patrons of Zambar.

Brand story
The original Habit Burger Grill opened its doors in Santa Barbara, California in 1969. It
was not long after, that an ambitious young employee and his brother borrowed money
from their mother to buy the modest burger stand in Goleta Beach.
Searching for a new benchmark of freshness, they sourced freshly-baked buns from a
local bakery and grilled them alongside perfectly seasoned beef. They garnered the ripest
tomatoes and leafiest lettuce available and installed a stainless steel charbroiler to sear
smoky flavours into every burger placed upon its grill.
Earning a reputation for serving the tastiest burgers on the West-coast, the brothers
focused their attention on other beach-inspired recipes - fresh-grilled albacore sandwiches
made with tuna; chicken sandwiches with bacon and avocado; and crunchy salads made
to order.

Over 45 years ago in 1969, a hamburger stand called The Habit opened in Goleta, a
small beach community in Southern California. Shortly after, at sixteen years of age,
Brent Reichard applied for his first job there, flipping burgers and making shakes.
Four years later, Brent and his brother Bruce bought that burger stand with the dream of
making the best burgers in Santa Barbara. Soon they introduced the charburger, a burger
made with 100% fresh ground beef char-grilled over an open flame. The inviting smell
from their charbroiler filled the air so that people simply couldn’t ignore it – and they
didn’t.
The brothers’ dedication to delivering the highest quality food using only the best
ingredients became the essence of their motto - “There’s No Substitute For Quality!”
