This is a social media plan I developed while consulting for a local TV station who was curious about how to leverage social media platforms and the translation to real world value. This document was successfully used to secure a major funding initiative with the bank.

Social Media Plan
Objective:
To develop a social media plan which will allow us to create excitement and maximize the benefits of our expansion into
Saratoga by building a self‐perpetuating, unique media delivery and viewer interaction medium.
By establishing relationships with online social communities/influencer, we broaden our marketing capabilities:
leveraging the power of television in exchange for their large number of their “followers”.
As a result, LOOK TV will be able to offer clients advertising and branding opportunities with powerful and meaningful
quantitative research results.
Phase 1
 Setup social media sites for LOOK TV
 Schedule Meetings with influencers such as the Saratoga Wire, Mamatoga, The Saratoga Scene, and Trotter
 Include Key LOOK TV staff to integrate current social media efforts
PHASE 2
 Integrate the LOOK TV social media platforms with the LOOK TV website
 Develop promotional message campaigns that focus on our move to Saratoga, and use influencer’s relationships
(with their followers) to create new “champions” for LOOK TV.
 Cross Market LOOK TV with influencer sites
 Use email marketing to do press releases, and provide options for linking to our social media sites and marketing
efforts
Phase 3
 Use the synergy of these new influencer relationships to develop quantifiable campaigns
 Drive traffic to our social media network using broadcast related content
 Create promotions that tie into the June launch, using the new social media platform of LOOK TV
 Deliver new opportunities for influencers on LOOK TV to ensure the social media back‐end is self‐perpetuating
(i.e. make sure the “followers” are responding to our efforts)
 Develop new revenue opportunities based on expanded and more targeted reach

Tactics
Week 1/Phase 1
 Create LOOK TV social media sites: including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, Blogger, etc.
 Make initial contact with influencers, and set appointments to establish working relationships and strategy
 Meet with David and Elton to review current social initiatives with LOOK News/Play‐By‐Play Sports
Week 2/Phase 2
 Include links to all major influencer’s blogs and publications (in Saratoga) to our social media network
 Include links to LOOK TV / LOOK NEWS content on the influencer’s social media sites
 Send emails related to the move to Saratoga through Constant Contact, including links for “joining” our social
media sites
 Verify influencers are sending out LOOK TV related content prior to broadcasts
Week 3 / Phase 3
 Execute promotional campaigns related to the launch of LOOK TV Saratoga through our social media with the
assistances of our influencers to extend our reach with their followers
 Provide broadcast time to influencers to help initiate a call to action with their followers
 Review campaign progress and develop strategy for additional revenue sources
