1. The new kid on the block, Hannah Morse speaks to us about her debut at
Leeds festival this year. Her new single has caused quite the stir and every
festival wanted her to perform. Headlining at Leeds should be a good way to
get her name out.
Are you looking forward to performing at your first festival gig?
Yes, very, I think it will be livelier because people go there for the experience.
Whether they know who’s performing or not. It should be a good
experience.
Who are you looking forward to meeting at the festival?
Well I’ve met a few of them quite a few times but I guess I have a laugh with
Arctic Monkeys the most.
Do you like touring?
Yeah, I get to travel and it can be quite fun on the tour bus. Especially with
my crew, we have a good laugh.
What’s your least favourite thing about touring?
Being away from home is probably the worst thing. It’s hard being away for
so long.
How do you prepare for a gig?
I try and stay calm and speak to my crew. Play a bit of guitar to warm up as
well.
Do you request anything specific when you go on tour?
Erm… Nothing (laughs) I ask for water but I think they provide that anyway.
Do you get nervous before a gig?
I do, but I’m glad I do. It keeps it interesting and it makes me want to give it
my all.
Hannah’s album comes out 4th March 2014 and will be performing at Leeds
Festival this year in August. She’ll be touring the UK from November 2014 –
February 2015.
