How doesitfeel tofinallybe recognisedforthe musicyou’re making? Itfeelssogreat...It’snice to
finallyhave recognitionforall the yearsof hardwork. I’ve heardyou’ve beeninthe musicindustry
since youwere 15, what youmade you wantto write songs?I’ve alwayslovedmusic.Eversince I
was a small childI’ve beensingingandplaying the guitarandpiano.Plus,myparentsare professinal
musicianssothat helps! Sosingingrunsinthe familythen (Laughs) yeah,youcouldsaythat...Isthat
how you got intothe whole alternative/indie musicscene? IguessbutI’ve alwayslovedreallychilled
out, guitar basedmusicanyway.Iwouldn’treallycall it‘Indie’ithasjustalways beenwhatsounded
bestto my ears. What artist/swouldyousayhas inspiredyouthe most? Igrew up listeningto
FleetwoodMacandThe Beach Boysbecause that was my parent’smusictaste and their musictaste
reallyinfluencedme. More recently,I’ve beenlovingMattCorby,Coldplay,andMumford&Sons. I
am alsoalwayslookingforoutfor newsingers thatI can listentoinmy spare time whenIam not
too busymakingmyown music!What can readersexpect tosee fromPhoebe Cinthe future?This
yearis goingto be so exciting andIjustcannot wait!I have so muchgoingon! I have a tour
happeninginJuly whichI’msoexcitedabout! Canyoutell usmore aboutthat?
Of course! It’sa ‘30 day,30 nights’tour, so it will be reallynon-stopforamonth!I’mplayingall
aroundthe UK and I have evenmanagedtobag myself the best supportact!Ohhow exciting!Can

Hozier!I can’tquite believe it,that someone thattalentedwouldwanttoshare a stage withme.My

I sure do! I’ll be playingonthe main stage - I cannotwait,the thoughtof itis insane.I’mjusta
normal girl froma small village inDevon.Stuff like thisjustdoesn’thappentome! If youcould
collaborate withone artistrightnowwhowoulditbe? Rightnow,I wouldlove toworkwith
someone like HenryHall orSiabut on one of hermore acoustic,slow songs. I thinkhervoice is
beautiful andshe isa greatexample of how toproduce unique,best-sellingmusic. Whatwasthe
inspirationbehindyournewsong‘Free’?
(Hesitates) Um...It’sprettypersonal andstillquite painfulforme but I recentlycame outof a pretty
seriousrelationshipwhere itwas quite sourfora while sobythe time me and myex-boyfriend
actuallyended, Iliterallyfeltfree soIguessthat’sprettymuch the reasonforthe song title. What
made youwant to write aboutsomethingsopersonal knowingthatsomanypeople were goingto
hearit? I don’tknowreally,Ijusthad this overwhelmingurge toputmy feelingsontopaper.Ididn’t
wantto do the whole ‘TaylorSwift’thing where yourightabouteveryheart-breakbutthistime it
justfeltrightbecause Ifeel like lotsof myfanswouldbe able toempathise.Phoebe,thankyouso
much forcomingto speakexclusivelytousat TITLE. I hope 2015 bringsyoueverythingyoudeserve!
