Personal Background
I am Delise Marajh. Currently, I am a Learning and Development Specialist for Liberty. I
have a passion for people and thus I enjoying working in this environment. It entails the
partnering and engaging with business on a regular basis to assess the current skills against
the skills needed to reach the desired level of competence in order to improve performance.
I have the ability to learn quickly as in the learning and development space there are
frequently new projects where new information has to be simplified and implemented to the
business. I have project managed a number of projects from a learning and development
perspective, i.e. for soft skills training, legislative, product and system changes and updates.
I have knowledge and working experience with the following products: Retirement Funds,
Retirement Annuities, Preservation Funds, Endowments and Unit Trusts (LISP) products.
I have developed the following skills in the learning and development environment:

Title of Research Project:
The claims area in an insurance company is experiencing a high claim case count.
Therefore, staff members are required to work long hours to decrease the case counts. It
has been advised that there is a lack of knowledge and skill in the area and hence a
learning intervention is required to:
o increase productivity and
hence, reduce the number of customer complaints as a result of a lack of knowledge and
skill

Job Responsibilities:
Routine and precautionary microbiological tests in the dolphinarium
Conducted hygiene tests on all resident animals in the dolphinarium
Procurement of medication, laboratory consumables and medical equipment in the
dolphinarium
Liased with medical companies for medical sponsorships for the animals in the
dolphinarium
With the assistance of the resident veterinarian, interpreted the blood results when
routine checks were done on the animals, also when the animals were sick and a blood
picture was required
