2. Analysis of the title and
credits
First Film- Mission Impossible-Ghost protocol
ā¢ Font used- Similar to copperplate gothic bold and appears in 3D
ā¢ Use of transitions/effects ā Uses a fly through transition and changes colour
ā¢ Use of colour- White with hints of blue
ā¢ Pace and movement of the titles: Fast and corresponds with the film
ā¢ How do they integrate or contrast with the action behind them- The credits follow the
direction of the imagery and changes once the background does
ā¢ Overview of why you liked the title sequence design- I liked it as it was simple yet
effective through the transitions of the credits. Also it has good timing with the rest on
the opening credits.
3. Analysis of the title and
credits continued
Second film: Nerve
ā¢ Font used- Bold typo graph. Similar to the font type of Calibri
ā¢ Use of transitions/effects ā Computerized effects symbolizing how the film is layed out
ā¢ Use of colour- Bright , graphical colours (which are eye catchy for the audience)
ā¢ Pace and movement of the titles- Fast pace movement of the title
ā¢ How do they integrate or contrast with the action behind them- For the most of it the
titles are similar or match what is going on In the background.
ā¢ Overview of why you liked the title sequence design- I personally like this design in the
title sequence as it is entertaining and eye catchy
4. Planning the design of your
own credits
ā¢ Type/ Font ā Personally we wanted to use either
Lucida Calligraphy. This is because of the fact that
we want it to be slightly girly as our target
audience are females between the ages of 15-21
and according to research females prefer cursive
writing to standard writing. However if we had to
pick a simple font , it would be Avenir Black
Oblique. This is due to the fact that this font is
italic which gives it some originality however it is
simple and easy to read.
5. Planning the design of your
own credits
ā¢ Transitions and / or effects you will use- We have
decided to either use an effect similar to
checkerboard as it is fun for the audience
ā¢ However another alternative is using the whip for
the title sequence
ā¢ Futhermore another option is using the Flip or the
dissolve as itās eye catchy
6. Planning the design of your
own credits
ā¢ Colour of the font- Personally I believe that either
a white or a Pink-White should be used as white is
simple as easy to look at , whereas pink Is
stereotypically girly and therefore may appeal to
my audience.
7. Planning the design of your
own credits
ā¢ Pace and movement of titles: We have decided to
have a slow pace as there will be things
happening in the background and we donāt want to
take the attention off what is going on in the
opening.
ā¢ How will your title integrate or contrast with the
action behind them: Tiles will follow the pathway of
the imagery.
