Choosing images, words and a quote
 Before you begin ask yourself, what is it you want desire and dream?
 What type of spa/salon do you see yourself in? Examples: Salon and Day Spa, Budget Salon Trendy,
Salon Spa, Classic Salon, Hotel Salon and Spa, Resort Salon and Spa, Medispa, Cruise Ship Salon and
Spa, Makeup Artist or Mortician Makeup
 What role do you see yourself in? Examples: Spa Director, Salon Manager, Spa and Salon Owner,
Esthetics Educator or Cosmetology Educator
 Go through magazines, choose images, words, a quote that inspires you and an affirmation tear out
images that delight you if it is a dream vacation spot with a stunning view then tear it out. What does
this picture mean to you? Must include an esthetician mission statement.
 Build a pile of images and words
 Go through and lay favorites on the board
 Leave a space in center for a fantastic picture of yourself
 Hang Treasure Map in a place where you will see it every day and spend a few minutes quietly looking
at it – “Look at the present you are constructing - it should look like the future you are dreaming.”

 What is the job you’d ideally like to be doing in five years and what steps are you taking to achieve that
goal? On a separate sheet of paper write a one page summary of what your career/life will look like.
 List 3-30 day goals here at school that you want to accomplish and name two people who will help you
accomplish them on a separate sheet of paper
Participation
 Participate in a mastermind group meeting one time weekly for 45 minutes to hold each other
accountable for actions taken by student to brain storm ideas working towards goal of a job related to
your esthetics/ cosmetology career and to persevere
 You will implement these ideas and strategies here at school to accomplish goals in Building a Clientele
and your Job Search
