Schnettler. Dawn demonstrated outstanding teamwork skills as she worked seamlessly
alongside other students and Valley Metro staff to quantify the quality of existing agency
ridership data collection practices. Dawn exercised her project management skills by
developing a project timeline and adhering to all deadlines. She remained flexible in
order to collect data during all service periods throughout the transit day. Not only was
Dawn able to analyze the quality of ridership data collected, but she also creatively
suggested several implementable solutions for process improvement moving forward. I
believe that Dawn’s efforts towards this project will positively impact the agency’s efforts
to accurately capture and document ridership data for industry-required reports.
