To build the capacity and sustainability of RunningStart for careers and other complimentary partner programs. Objective of the Assignment (Period of Performance: 08/14/2015-08/14/2016) Provide outreach to raise awareness of volunteer opportunities in the City Member Activity: Step 1: Create collateral materials, including flyers, web links to be used for marketing volunteer opportunities. Step 2: Post service/volunteer opportunities on websites, social media, and other approved media sources.Step 3: Provide presentations to community-based organizations to raise the visibility of volunteer opportunities. Objective of the Assignment (Period of Performance: ongoing) Volunteer Matching Member Activity: Step 1: Create a database of active volunteers. Step 2: Actively match volunteers to service opportunities connected to volunteer talents, skills, and interests. Step 3: Engage existing volunteer and service networks, including the United Way, NM Commission for Community Volunteerism, and other volunteer networks. Step 4: Work with the Mayor’s Office to connect volunteers to strategic initiatives, including Homework Diner, Career Corps, Running Start for Careers, Talent ABQ and Living Cities.
