Objective
I have held several jobs,my firstin 1997 as a stock-boy for a deli. I have ten years of full-timeexperience and several
more with part-time work in a variety of jobs that have absolutely no relevanceto the career I am trying to build (so I
will notwaste your time by listingthem). I also spentsome time unemployed due to lay-offs and a sloweconomy.
My main sellingpointis thatI also have ten years of college coursework, mostly in scienceand engineering. As
you can see here, my education has prepared me for work with analytical chemistry,water resources,water quality,
GIS, and environmental policy. However, I am versatile and I am interested in all aspects of environmental science
and policy so I am willingto be a bitflexibleaboutthe jobs I will consider accepting. WhatI need right now is a
position thatwill providethe followingthings for me:
Hands-on experience that will be useful in building a solid career;
Keeping my mind active and providing a variety of duties from day to day;
Working where science, engineering, and policy meet;
The ability to pay my bills & student loans: preferably $52,000/year or more;
Opportunities for advancement & further training.
