6/Allons 6; Conduct Conditions Check
• Condition: Conference Room, Chart board with graphics
plotted, and PowerPoint slide deck.
• Standard: Provide Commander/Commanders an understanding
of the risk for Soldiers executing the FSCX and to provide
mitigating factors (Minimum Safe Distance) to reach the lowest
risk, highest training capacity.

Company HQ team receives OPORD and conducts Troop Leading Procedures and
Rehearsals prior to execution of VBS, with Live taking place the next week
The Following Events will be executed in order during both dry (virtual) and live.
Event 1 (OP22): SEAD with last round a smoke marking round
Event 2 (OP22): JTACs employ CAS IVO OBJ Ridgeway
Event 3 (move): Echelon of fires begin as Company begins movement

2000 meters separation
• Separation between ground elements and
target for Live CAS must be 1000 meters per
the unit supporting the training.
• Lateral separation will be used for de-
confliction. The aircraft will stay below the 89
northing and release ordinance in the
highlighted blue kill box.
•Observer will be the camera POD (FLIR,
LITENING)

14. 1. Accurate Target Location and Size (BDE Fire Support Element)
• Accurate detection, identification, and location of ground targets.
•Determine size and disposition on the ground
•Annex D of TC 3-09.8 outlines the framework of the training objective time
and accuracy standards for Fire Missions. Company Fire Support Officers
express values in accordance with Annex D of TC 3-09.8 155mm Fire
Missions.
2. Accurate Firing Unit Location (Charlie Battery FDO)
• Accurate survey information and correct location of each gun
•Firing Units will lay in digitally and self locate on the Firing Point.
15
3. Accurate Weapon & Ammunition Information (Charlie Battery Fire
Direction Officer)
• Calibrations (baseline) to capture accurate Muzzle Velocity Variations
(MVVs) to be conducted each introduction of a new lot with the M90
•
•Check Rounds allocated for each tube daily
•
•Registration will be conducted on 3 OCT 16
4. Accurate Meteorological Information (Battalion Fire Direction Officer)
• BN FDC will provide MET NLT 0545 and 1040 daily (synced with event schedule)
5. Accurate Computational Procedures (Charlie Battery Fire Direction Officer)
• Review firing unit’s pre-occupational firing charts/plotting boards to verify the
AFATDs and Centaurs information.
• Fire Direction/Mortar personnel will review their targets and show the potential
deviation of shot resulting from any combination of the below listed errors, when
applied against the MSD for their weapon system from the authorized LOA .
•32 m (+/-) Deflection Error, 144 m (+/-)Range Error
