PROFILE
Currently working for Dolphin Drilling on a conventional semisubmersible. Over the past ten years it
has been a steady progression from Roustabout, Able Seaman to my current position as Ballast
Control Operator. Recently I was temporally promoted for six months, to Section Stability leader. In
this managerial roll I was involved in three ship yard stays which incorporated six rig moves.

EMPLOYMENT
Jan 2011 – Present Borgholm Dolphin.
Position : Ballast Control Operator
Duties :- Daily operation and maintenance with the ballast control room; performing daily stability
calculations after ensuring all weight distributions have been updated. Undertake hand stability
calculations. Adjust ballast condition to maximize stability margin and minimize free surface, whilst
maintaining the units draught, heel and trim as required by operations.
• Maintain and update logs, monitor fire and gas alarm panels.
• Carry out duties/assist as directed by OIM.
• Undertake all duties as determined on station bill and as detailed within the Dolphin
Emergency Procedures manual.
• Maintaining communications with other departments, vessels and maintain records of
helicopter movements.
• Maintain all log books and marine reports.
• Carry out anchor winch operations during skidding, rig moving and mooring procedures.
Jan 2006 – Jan2011 Dolphin Drilling (Bullford, Borgney, Borgsten,Byford Borgholm).
Position : Able Seaman
Duties :- Rig moving from locations and skidding, working winches and collaborating with anchor
handlers during said operations. Carrying out bulk transfers to and from supply vessels, pump room
and cementing unit. Carrying out pre proposed plant maintenance. Relief for Control Room Operator
during breaks and outside work.
Mar 2005 – Nov2005 Atlantic resourcing / Dolphin Drilling (Borgsten, Semi submersible)
Duties: 5 trips as Roustabout:- Incorporating running of casing, BHA, drill pipe to and from drill floor.
Loading and unloading cargo from supply vessels. General deck duties.
3 trips as Able Seaman:- Incorporating general maintenance and upkeep of lifeboats and anchor
winches, carrying out bulk transfers to and from supply vessels, pump room and cementing unit.
