 Elections in India are events which involves political mobilization and
organizational complexity on an amazing scale
 Elections in India governed by the people’s Representation Act 1951.
 Election commission of India ,an Independent statutory body, oversees
the elections in India.
 JANAAGRAHA
 A Not for profit institution started in December 2001 by Ramesh and
Swati Ramanathan.
 Janaagraha works to improve the quality of life of all the people in Indian
cities and towns. It works with citizens and governments to bring about
comprehensive solutions to the problem’s in cities.
TATA Tea with JAAGO Re…
• Tata Tea Jaago Re or Jaago Re is a cause marketing
initiative launched in India by Tata Tea, owned by Tata
Global Beverages Limited. The campaign, introduced in
2008, works with NGOs and other non-profit
organization to raise awareness for specific causes
around Indian general elections.
• Since 2009, Tata Tea JaagoRe has been an active
component of Tata Tea's marketing initiatives. The
focus of Tata Tea's JaagoRe campaign has varied
through the years.
Janaagraha and Tata Tea
 The objective of partnership between TATA and Janaagraha is to
create a platform that will motivate the vast numbers of Indian
Youth to partic ipate actively in the electroral process of the country.
 The initiative is named “Jaago Re! One Billion Votes”
 The Jaago re campaign communicates the message that merely being
awake up is not enough ; we need to be awaken to all the problems
facing us, and to help bring about a positive change.
 The same is communicated loud and clear by its punch line ‘Har
subah sirf utho mat.Jaago Re!’
Strategy, Promotions And Advertisement

• Since the campaign is on such a large scale , The strategy has
plans to deploy a mega approach to connect with the consumer
at all possible touch points.
• Television is the lynchpin of the campaign.
• To impact the mind of the viewer the promotion started with a
very catchy line…JAAGO
