To whom it may concern,
My name is Steven Manstavich and I serve as Vice Principal at James Lyng High School. I am
writing this letter as a referralto Ms. Lyn Madeleine Smith.
Lyn worked as a child-care worker at my school during the school year of 2014-15. Specifically,
she replaced one of our Behavior Technician’s from January 2015 – April 2015. During this
period she was responsible for monitoring student behavior, planning interventions with student’s
in crisis and assisting the Vice Principal (myself) with daily discipline.
I must say that I was incredibly impressed with Ms. Smith’s professional conduct while at our
school. Ms. Smith showed boundless energy in her day-to-day duties. She was reliable, efficient
and did not need prompting in order to take initiative.
Lyn showed great empathy for many of our kids’ plights and was never afraid to speak on behalf
of our kids, even with teacher’s who perhaps did not have the students’ best interests at heart. At
the same time, she showed a very firm hand when needed and helped to keep control of the
school in a very efficient manner.
She demonstrated great professionalism with the Administration; both I & the Principal of the
school considered her a go-to person who would get things done and always keep the kids in
mind.
In closing, I would say that any employer would be quite lucky to have Lyn on their staff. Her
dedication & reliability is very impressive. I would wholeheartedly recommend her for any
position.
