Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 2 is a Marvel action-comedy film starring Chris Pratt as Star Lord and his team of intergalactic heroes. The film continues the Guardians' adventures after they are attacked by an alien race, with Star Lord learning his father wants him to stay on his home planet. The group splits up, with some staying to repair their ship while others go with Star Lord to his father's planet. Though the plot is predictable, the film is highly entertaining thanks to its humor and visual effects, keeping audiences engaged for its full two and a quarter hours. While some jokes may be too dated, it remains an enjoyable blockbuster for most ages.

Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 2 Review: Action-Packed Sequel
1. Film Review: Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 2
Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 2 is a classic Marvel (“superheroes”) adventure & action
movie starring Chris Pratt as Star Lord and Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley
Cooper and Vin Diesel as the other main actors (the last two giving a voice to digitally
created characters). Set in an alternate version of our universe where intergalactic
trips are just as common as car ones, this 136 minutes lengthened film continues
telling Guardians of Galaxy’s adventures after the first part.
It all starts when an alien race is going to destroy the “heroes” and a man who says
that is Star Lord’s father saves them and offers him to stay in his own made planet for
a while; the moment where the group splits up. Gamora, Drax and Peter Quill (Star
Lord) go to Ego planet and Rocket and Groot stay to repair the ship after the attack
and watch out their prisoner, Nebula (Gamora’s sister). From then on, a couple of
characters like Mantis or Yondu settle into the action and absurd 80’s jokes fulfil the
storyline of this motion picture.
Definitely, what I liked most was that I didn’t notice those two hours and a quarter.
The film is so entertaining that you’re stuck to your seat all the time laughing of
foolish gags or being caught off the plot that, despite not being much innovative, kind
of catches your attention (not to mention the special effects, those which you’re
going to expect from a name like Marvel). And those are also the bad points in here;
the main storyline is a bit too classical and, sometimes, the jokes are too easy to
make you laugh of them.
Summarizing, I think this movie is one of the musts of the season for everyone over
8 years (maybe some jokes are too retro to be understood by everybody) because it
is one of those films which are going to be spoken about for a while, and also is a
enjoyable time you can spend in the cinema with whoever you want
