4. TRON: Legacy
Style over substance is never a bad thing, as this
film’s best seen as a giant Daft Punk music video
5. The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey and The Desolation of Smaug
Over saturation of CGI and a dragged out story
made this set of films go from potentially
awesome to slightly above average.
6. The Air Force One scene stole the show in a rather run of
the mill superhero movie.
Iron Man 3
7. Thor: The Dark World
Fun, for the most part and still shows Hollywood that
practical effects for monsters are the best.
8. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Suspense and espionage kept the Marvel Franchise alive
by showing that their movies aren’t the same cookie cutter plot.
9. The Amazing Spiderman 2
While the film itself is overall polarizing, this film depicted
what it is to be Spider-Man.
10. Godzilla
A disaster film about men and monsters proved to be the best way
to kick off the 2014 summer movie season.
11. X-Men: Days of Future Past
While essentially the same plot as Terminator 2, this superhero
flick was exhilarating from start to finish
12. Guardians of the Galaxy
Marvel does it again with an energetic origin story about a group of
outlaws stuck in the middle of intergalactic perils.
14. Kingsman: The Secret Service
An homage to the Roger Moore era of 007 films
and action films in general, this film was high
octane fun and unrelentlessly violent.
