Working as a Technical Claims advisor which in addition to managing my own caseload, I
am also responsible for providing technical assistance in relation to the new introduction of
the Ministry Of Justice reforms, Hire (ABI GTA), Personal Injury and Litigation. I also
provide direction regarding claims management; resolving conflicts regarding claims
between parties with competing interests; analyse workflow and processes to maximize
staff efficiency and effectiveness; perform related work. I am responsible for the training
and development of junior colleagues, and trusted with identifying resource saving
practices for the company.

Working for a claimant solicitor I was responsible for negotiating claims on behalf of my
clients from first notification until conclusion.
2. 2006 - 06/2007 The Claims People - Nationwide
Acting as an insurance consultant for an independent company. My duties are dependent
upon the companies I am contracted to within the UK. My main duties involve assisting
insurers with numerous tasks, ranging from liaising with clients, solicitors, some of my
duties may include satisfying invoices, dealing with credit hire companies or complex
injury claims
I was also responsible for the training and development of colleagues as the company
requires.
2000 – 2006 Amlin Insurance - Chelmsford
Working as a Personal Injury Negotiator within the In House legal department for Amlin
Insurance Services my main role was negotiating settlement of personal injury claims
submitted against Amlin Insurance from initial notification to conclusion. I was responsible
for approximately 450 – 500 cases ranging from minor claims to claims of a more severe
nature. My authority limit was £75,000.00, although I have dealt with claims exceeding this
amount.
My additional duties included dealing with all aspects of accidental damage and third party
claims, as well as personnal injury claims which involved liasing with solicitors, insurers,
engineers, medical professionals etc. I was also Amlin's credit hire liason officer which
involved negotiating settlements with credit hire organisations. Since the introduction of
the ABI GTA, I also developed and presented a training seminar to junior staff members
highlighting the credit hire organisation and insurers obligations concerning the ABI GTA.
On a daily basis I was responsible for the composition and production of corresponence to
other parties, mainly via dictation.
I was also responsible for the smooth running of Amlins largest motor account and my
duties ranged from attending meetings, providing progression reports, dealing with any
legal proceedings issued and auditing files.

compensation against insurers for any losses suffered.

3. Since completion of high school I have continuously worked within the insurance and legal
sector. I have gained vast experience, knowledge and key skills in both claimant and
defendant claims. Within more recent years I have had the opportunity to undertake the
Lloyds Introduction Test and various other internal and external courses. In 2002 I held a
seminar for my colleagues and peers on credit hire to bring new information and awareness
on this subject. I was also responsible for the up-keep of one of the largest motor accounts,
which included writing reports and auditing. Feedback, and my own reflective evaluation,
has demonstrated the value of imparting values, motivation and professionalism when
negotiating with claims and parties involved.
Hobbies
