least 90% proficiency, the students will:
a. Identify the elements of the short story using
a story map;
b. Restate the story by performing tableaus;
and
c. Relate their own experiences to the
significance of the story by writing a letter.
3. Tableau
A tableau is a depiction of a scene by silent and
motionless participants. It is like you are in a
picture. You tell a scene without moving or
speaking. You can be a character or even an
object in the setting.

6. During the tableau presentation, the group:
• Worked cooperatively.
• Described the tableau’s characters and character traits.
• Showed a clear picture of the scene’s setting.
• Communicated the character using one’s body and facial
expression.
• Remained silent and frozen during the tableau presentation.
7. Get the paper where you have written the things that
you like and hate to do at home. Use it to write a letter
to your parents/guardian about the things that you
want to change about yourself. I am going to give you
an envelope with a paper that you can use. You will
pass it and you will give it to your parents/guardians
once I have returned it to you.
