Problem being attempted to change:
The elder’s thinking about the girl child
education and try to bring them at the
minimum education level.

2. Introduction
• Bharti Foundation
– Bharti Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Bharti Group Companies.
– The prime objective is to bridge the existing education divide and make quality
education accessible to underprivileged children in rural India.
– The Foundation aims to help underprivileged children and young people of our country
realize their potential.
• Satya Bharti School Program
– The Satya Bharti School Program is the flagship program of Bharti Foundation.
– It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus
on the girl child across rural India.
– Present Operational Status:
• Number of Schools Operational: 254
• States of Operation: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh,
Tamil Nadu & west Bengal
• Number of Students Enrolled: Over 38,000

3. About the Community
• Geographical Location:
– Dhani Minan is located at 5km west side of NH-11C from Achrol village.
This Dhani is related to Meena Community and most of the peoples are
farmers and shepherd.
Cultural Background:
– This Dhani is typical village and peoples are not interested for girl’s
education. They believes that there is no use of education for the girl.
• Role of Satya Bharti School in the Village:
Satya bharti school is working since 2008 in this Dhani & trying a lot to
add more and more girls in our girl child education campaign every
year.Our girls are now leading our district in many areas like games at
district level,Events organized by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA)
• Participation in ‘Design for Giving’ School Contest:We don’t want
to let any girl uneducated in our Dhani So we decide to pick this topic
as challenge.

4. We ‘Felt’:
• Many time we saw that people talks Photograph (If any)
too much about the girl’s education
but don’t take it seriously. Our
students want to add each girl with the
school for the growth of their home as
well as village.
• We felt that if peoples are not ready to
come to school to talk on girl child
education than we will go to them and
try our best to make them sensitive
towards this.

5. We ‘Imagined’:

of girl’s education for a growing village.

7. Impact on Community:
• Peoples specially females and girls
were very happy with our programe
and promised us to send the girls to
the school till they want.
• The females of the village want to
dance with our students and teachers
so………..

8. Impact on Us:
• We are feeling so happy that people are agree to send their girls to
the school. We will make this way so strong and bring it to the next
level………..

9. Experience of Community Members & Teachers:
• “Bharti foundation ne bahut Achha prayas shuru kiya hai Hum
sab milkar koshish karenge ki gaon ki ek bhi beti padhai se
vanchit na rahe…….Mangej Meena
• Mai humare gaon walo ki taraf se sabhi teachers ka
dhanywad deta hun ki school me padhne wali girls ke saath
un ladkiyon ka bhi dhyan rakh rahe hai jo ghar me hi rahti hai
or padh nahi pa rahi…teachers ki madad har star par ki
jayegi or humari dhani ki har ladki ko padhaya jayega.”-Badri

• Aaj hum bahut Thak gaye…..par jab gaon ki ladkiyon ki
aankho me school jane ki khushi dekhi to sari thakan utar
gayi…….School staff

10. The Road Ahead…..(in the next 3 months)
• Attend the panchayat meeting to data for such type of girls.
• Meet sarpanch to support us for the next level.
• More focus on child tracking survey.
• Make a group of girls at each Dhani to support us.
