2. This activity is designed for elementary school students.
It aims to teach the colors by using game with a short story, in this activity I will
tell my students about Minnie’s problem, and ask them to help her. I used
Minnie because it’s a famous cartoon character! So they can enjoy learning.
I also used different verity of words to enrich their vocabulary.
The purpose is not to teach them colors only, but to let them exposed to the
language by using their love for games. Therefore, students won't even realise
they're learning!
This activity could be incorporated with different lessons about colors or as
an introduction to indirect speech grammar since I used some. It can be
used for reading as well.
I assume it’s going to be helpful because I used certain things that grasp kids’
attention, like colors, a short story game, a cartoon character and “gift boxes“. It
also improves their reading skills. Some words I meant to repeat them
frequently so, it would stick in their minds.
3. Minnie won a prize, and she is going to be rewarded in awards ceremony at a Walt
Disney World. She wanted to have a new look. She was going to have a new
dress, shoes, and a hair accessory . Minnie went to her favorite store to get what she
needs to. The seller man was so busy to help her, he told her that he had prepared
her stuff, and she can find the dress inside the green gift-box.
But, Minnie didn’t know the names of the colors. Now, Minnie is so sad, she needs
help.
Can’t we help her? Of course we CAN!
