2. Context:
from the
observation of
water use in Santa
Marta slum and
problems faced by
the community, the
project focus was
defined: to redesign
the "mine”, space
used by residents
mainly as laundry
and water source.
3. Project: after consecutive visits to the site, the area was
mapped and its uses were observed, allowing the ideation of
solutions aligned with the community needs and values.
4. Design role: the entire space was redesigned, proposing a communal
tank, a tap to collect water, a pier on the water tanks for bar goers shower
under the stairs, and a pool with waterfall.In the development of these
solutions, the maximization of use of resources was aimed as well as social
integration and well-being of the community.
