2. Alto Vale do Itajaí is an area of Santa Catarina, Brazil, where we can find
different groups of people that organize themselves around food
production, that uses raw materials and manpower from local sources.
Usually, their products have low aesthetic and technical finish, without
much competitive value in the market.

3. AMPE (Associação das Micro e Pequenas Empresas), identifies
cases that can potentially become businesses and articulates the
relation among the local community, the local city hall and the
University, in order to get resources to strengthen their
productions and promote local development.

NASDESIGN makes a systemic analysis from the sustainable aspects of their
productions, in order to suggest ideas for local services and local business
connections. Likewise, the lab creates visual identity and packing for the
products to better their technical and aesthetic aspects, improving their
market competitiveness and formalizing their local identity.
