Peter initially calls Jesus "Teacher" but is willing to let Jesus prove himself, despite Peter's own understanding. After a successful fishing trip where Jesus commands Peter to catch many fish, Peter realizes he is a sinful man and repents. Jesus then offers Peter a new grace and converted heart, representing a transformation from the old to the new through receiving Jesus.
