Rev. Fr. John Alexander SDB
Rector and Correspondent
Dr. John Alexander SDB is a writer, educationist and a member of the Don Bosco Network for
over three decades. He holds a doctorate from the University of Leuven, Belgium, where he
also worked as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economics and Ethics. He has been a visiting
scholar under the guidance of Nobel laureate Economist Amartya Sen in Harvard, USA and has
also been a Visiting Professor in many Universities abroad. He is the author of many books and
research articles, and has worked as Professor of Management at LIBA, Loyola College, Chennai
from 2006-2011. A thought leader, visionary and passionate about providing quality education to children in the Don Bosco way, Fr. John Alex now heads Don Bosco, Egmore as Rector
& Correspondent.
Rev. Fr. Y.L. Irudayaraj SDB
Principal
Rev. Fr. Y.L. Irudayaraj SDB comes with a vast experience in the educational sector and has played
various leading roles including a long stint in Don Bosco, Fujirah, UAE. Professionally Trained in
English Literature, he focuses on academic rigour, discipline and in setting high standards for
students and staff at DB Egmore. A strong believer in multiplying opportunities for students to
develop their skills, Fr. Irudayaraj now is the Principal of Don Bosco MHSS, Egmore.
Rev. Fr. Chinnapparaj Desam SDB
Vice Principal & Administrator
Rev. Fr. Chinnapparaj SDB, an enthusiastic and energetic educator, is the new addition to the
Don Bosco, Egmore Campus. He co-ordinates all the administrative activities of the school
and ensures that it runs smoothly. He is deeply interested in sports activities and encourages
students to excel in sports and athletics. Approachable and friendly, he is a reliable support and
mentor to everyone who enters the portal of DB Egmore.
