Abstract
Information Processing Theory
The information processing theory is a group of theoretical frame works that address how the human beings receive, think about, mentally, modify and
remember information and how such cognitive processes change over the course of development. (Child development pg.186) Information processing
theory emerged in the late 1950s and early 1960s and has continued to evolve in the decades that have followed. (Child development pg.186)
The five key components in the information process theory are sensation, perception, sensory register, working memory, and long–term memory.
Sensation is the physiological...show more content...
Then the information goes to working memory, which allows that active information to stay around for a few seconds. After that, in–depth processing
begins making connections between new information and existing knowledge through rehearsal, organization, and elaboration. Last is the long–term
memory which now stores the information for retrieval at a later day and time. Input from the environment is what keeps information going in the
model.
As a child grows, the child's information becomes more complex, the distractions start to decrease and the attention span becomes longer. Children
begin to process more and more and faster.
The information process theory is used by researchers to study cognitive development in children. They have focused on areas such as the gradual
improvements in children's ability to take in information and focus selectively on certain parts of it and their increase attention spans and capacity for
memory storage. (Ken R. Wells, healthofchildren.com)
Infants–two years old
As babies come into the world, they learn to use their senses to explore the world around them. Most newborns focus on and follow objects. Babies
also see all colors, then they start recognizing faces and they also start imitating facial expressions of others. My four month old baby did see the
different objects and tried to reach out to them. When he sees something new, he will touch it and then try to put it in his mouth. Or when he

The speaker is the source of information and ideas for an audience. The job of the source is to translate ideas and images in his or her mind into verbal
or non–verbal symbols that an audience can recognize. Verbal symbols are words, sentences, sounds, vocally produce noises or alternative utterances
that are said aloud in order to convey some meaning. For example, stop! Is a word conveying a particular action by sound and can be written out or
spoken. Nonverbal symbols are messages sent to a receiver from the source by means of body language, facial expressions, eye contact, touching,
signs and gestures. For example, the speaker may encode in gestures how big something is by separating his or her hands or something small by
bringing them closer

Chapter 3: Product Design and Process Selection
Answers to Assigned Discussion Questions in Textbook
1.Define product design and explain its relationship to business strategy.
Product design is the process of determining all the features and characteristics of a product or service. The design of the product or service must
match the business strategy in order for the company to be successful. For example, if we create a product with numerous features, it would probably
be more expensive to produce. This would not help us if our goal is to provide a low cost product.
2.What are the differences between product and service design?
Recall that the key differences between manufacturing and service is the fact that...show more content...
Vertical integrationis more effective for continuous operations in which the number of input materials is small. Fine (1998) points out that successful
companies move back and forth between being vertically integrated and not in order to remain competitive over longer periods of time.
9.What is a process flowchart and what is it used for?
A process flowchart is a diagram that shows all of the process steps for producing a product or service. It is useful in analyzing the process flows in
order to make improvements. For example, we can identify potential problem areas and decide how to prevent the problem from occurring.
10.Give some examples of automation. How has automation changed the production process?
Automation is the use of machines that can perform work without assistance from a human worker. Examples of automation are automated material
handling, computer–aided design (CAD), flexible manufacturing systems (FMS), robotics and computer–integrated manufacturing (CIM). Automation
has enabled production to be more consistent in terms of quality and to efficiently produce larger volumes of product.
11.Discuss the benefits of computer–aided design (CAD).
The benefits of CAD are increased speed and flexibility in the design process, improved ability to share designs since they are electronic files, and the
ability to easily archive designs and compare designs.

Design Thinking Essay examples
Design thinking is a process for practical, creative resolution of problems or issues that looks for an improved future result. It is the essential ability to
combine empathy, creativity and rationality to meet user needs and drive business success. Unlike analytical thinking, design thinking is a creative
process based around the building up of ideas. There are no judgments early on the design thinking (Simon, 1969, p. 55). Design thinking includes
imagination and reason, a combination of convergent and divergent thought, and creativity. Design thinking might be thought of as dialectic, or
conversation. It involves design wisdom, judgment, and knowledge. Lastly, design thinking is skill (Hegeman, 2008).

Deep understanding of the context of client and user needs is generated through analytical observation or ethnographic research that task seek to
understand the fundamental use and usability needs of the customer or user and the meaning–based needs (Archer, 1984, 64). In the observation phase,
data is collected to elicit the stories that help to understand culture and meaning in variety of forms: field notes, focus groups, interviews, transcripts,
photographs, video and audio tapes, participant or non–participant observation, and formal ethnographic (Beckman & Barry, 2007).
The second stage of design thinking is frameworks the design problem: this phase requires processing and a large amount of information –which is
collected from the observation phase– but at the same time being able to see what is missing for the customers and users information. The ultimate
purpose of the framing phase is to reframe the design problem, to come up with a new story to tell about how the user might solve his or her problem,
or to come up with a new way of seeing problem, to identify interesting dimension, to identifying and formulation the goals, to identifying external and
internal constrains (Oxman, 1997, p. 344), to create design brief –outline programme– and time lines and providing the boundaries of the design field
(Archer, 1984, p. 67; Cross, 2006, p. 32).
After framing and reframing the problem, the design innovation process moves to the third stage:

Writing and Process Essay
Process essays are essays that explain to the audience how to do something or how to complete a task. This may involve explaining how to put
items or ingredients together to make a finished product, such as in a recipe. These essays can also explain how to accomplish a goal. For example,
a process essay could detail the steps that must be taken in order to graduate from a particular college. Regardless of the subject, all process essays
must clearly explain in detail how to complete or perform a task. Instructions 1. Plan the essay. It is helpful to use an outline format in order to map out

Reflection About My Writing Process
My writing processes nowadays have changed thank you to my English 100 level class at Arizona Western College, I feel more confident with my
writing style. At the beginning of the class I was very confused with the writing process and the steps to make an essay. I had a difficult time
developing an outline and putting together my ideas, so I was not able to write an essay with a good structure. In addition, my grammar was not the
best, and some of my sentences were incomplete. During the class period I learned about grammar, how to write complete sentences, how to
brainstorm and the importance of an outline. It has become easier for me to organize my ideas in order to develop a well–structured essay. An essay
should contain a topic, one thesis, body paragraphs that support the thesis, and a conclusion. The thesis will tell the reader what is the writer
purpose of the essay, the body paragraphs support the thesis and the topic sentences of each one. Least but not last, I learned the importance of a
peer review, this process was very helpful in the class because I was able to receive constructive feedback from my classmates, and I was able to
improve my papers with the suggestions that my classmates gave me on my drafts. In this class I learned about three type of essays; narrative,
process, and persuasive essay. The narrative essay is used to tell a story, it is chronological, and usually involves the writerĐ’Ò‘s point of view, and
feelings. The narrative essay has a lot of details to get the reader involve in the story, and make it more interesting. The process essay is used to
describe how to do something or how something occurs. For example; how to accomplish an activity, task, operation, etc. The process essay uses
body paragraphs to describe the steps needed to complete or finish the activity. The persuasive essay is used to convince the reader to believe or
adopt certain type of view. The persuasive essay uses arguments and facts to make the reader believe an idea by using logic and critical thinking. I
believe the persuasive essay is the most difficult one to write compared to the narrative and process essay because it is very difficult to focus on one
belief and change peopleĐ’Ò‘s opinions regarding

How Process Has Worked So Well For Me Essay
Introduction Writing is something that all people have to do some people always use the same methods and others use a different method each time.
For me, I use the same method each time, and throughout this paper I will be explaining my process and why that process has worked so well for
me. I never knew what my process was fully until I started to write this paper and that is when I started to realize all of the steps that I took when it
came to writing a paper.
Methods
Before starting to write this paper or any paper for that matter. I started to think about what I do before I start writing a paper and how I continue to
write that paper. I used the chart that was given to us in class to help map my ideas better, this is what I came up with. The general steps I take are
listening to the instructions given, setting up the format for my paper, taking a few days to think (unconsciously) about what my paper should
include, opening up my laptop and taking a few hours to just type my heart out, I leave my paper for a day or so and I come back and write the
new ideas that I have floating down, I then start to revise. These steps do repeat themselves during certain times in my process. Normally I do not
use a sheet to write down my thoughts and steps they just happen but for this paper I took a different approach. The steps I take are always the same
and the reasons why I explore down below.
Findings and Discussion Before starting a paper of course I have to learn about

Clearing Your Organization's Roadblocks with Business Process Automation
Building a Better Business Process – The Struggle is Real
Organizations are under tremendous pressure to do more with less, streamline costs and transform their business to take advantage of cheaper, faster
digital strategies. That's a pretty tall order for any organization, but that is exactly what a good business process automation (BPA) company can
deliver. This challenge spans all industries, here are just a few examples:
A recent survey shows 99.6% of insurance executives surveyed say they are struggling to deliver digital innovation.
In the healthcare field, 85% of respondents cited digital innovation as key to a long term competitive...show more content...
A critical part of ensuring a successful BPA implementation requires engaging employees in the BPA process and ensuring that the workflow makes
their jobs easier.
How can business process automation help your organization?
There are many different use cases within an organization that can benefit from BPA, but it works best in situations where there is a lot of repetitive
manual paperwork or approvals. If the processes remains the same, creating an automation workflow ensures best practices are followed every time.
Custom business process automation can range from automating full processes to helping organizations design processes that link different programs
and solutions together. The goal of automation is reduce the amount of time spent on manual intervention and has the following benefits:
Saves money: Labor costs account for 62% of total AP costs, and estimated 60% of overall corporate expenses. Reducing manual intervention can save
organizations between 20 – 30%
Saves time: Manual tasks such as batching jobs, performing back–ups, matching POs with invoices and numerous repetitive tasks can be automated
and completed significantly faster with less errors.
Reduces errors: People get tired, sick, hungry or distracted and this cases them to make mistakes. With process automation, the machine continues the
same set pattern and reduce or eliminates human errors.
Improve internal and external service: by

The nursing process Essay
The standards of practice describe a competent level of nursing care as exhibited by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This
practice includes the areas of assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nursing process includes
significant actions taken by registered nurses (RN) and forms the foundation of the nurse's decision–making ("American Nurses Association," 2010).
Assessment is the accurate collection of comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation ("American Nurses Association," 2010).

It is during the second phase that the nurse must establish a nursing diagnosis. Only diagnosis approved and listed through The North American
Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) may be used. Ineffective airway clearance, risk for impaired skin integrity, risk for infection and ineffective
coping are just a few examples of NANDA approved diagnosis. A nursing diagnosis is a clinical judgment about actual or potential individual, family, or
community experiences/responses to health problems/life processes. A nursing diagnosis provides the basis for selection of nursing interventions to
achieve outcomes for which the nurse has accountability (Defining the Knowledge," 2012). The third standard of practice is outcomes identification.
During this phase, the registered nurse identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation ("American Nurses
Association," 2010). During this step outcomes must be derived from the nursing diagnosis and must be measurable, realistic and attainable by the
patient. The registered nurse involves the patient, family, heath care providers, and others in formulating expected outcomes when possible and
appropriate. The registered nurse must also consider associated risks, benefits, costs, current scientific evidence, expected trajectory of the condition,
and clinical expertise when formulating outcomes ("American Nurses Association," 2010). Example of an

Design Process : A Model Process Essay
5.Design process 5.1 Design process The design process is the transformation of an idea, needs, or wants by stakeholders, consumers or the
marketplace, into an artefact that satisfies these needs. Wallace and Blessing made a different angle to systematic design by mentioning two
contrasting ways in which design can be approached. The systematic generation of solutions set out by Pahl and Beitz is a problem–orientated
approach. Another approach is a more artefact–oriented approach, which is evident in the initial product idea then continually kept through the design
process. 5.1.1Prescriptive or descriptive There is much literature regarding on how to form the design process. Reading the literature these can be
placed into two different categories, these can be descriptive process models (see Figure 1 (appendix A)) and the prescriptive process models (see
Figure 2 (appendix A)), both of which are commonly represented by flow diagrams. The descriptive models attempt to replicate the sequence of
occurrences throughout the general design process. The prescriptive models are then built upon these descriptive models in order to guide the
designers more efficiently through the design process. Although the prescriptive models are by definition not normally used design practices, many are
so generic and well known that they only remain prescriptive to novice design engineers. According to papers the most famous and commonly quoted
of these processes is the Pahl and

How to Choose a College Major (Process Essay)
How to Choose a College Major
At some point in the process of choosing a college, you may have to choose a college major, or at the very least begin to narrow your options.
While being undecided for awhile is fine, you probably want to have some idea of what you want to do when you start the college application
process. You want to make sure you make the right college choice, and there's nothing worse than finding your dream school only to realize it doesn't
offer the major you've ultimately chosen. Even though you know you can't put it off forever, choosing your major can be tough.
When it's time to starting making solid decisions about enrolling in college, many people have questions about how to choose a college major.

Think About Careers
The answers to these questions can help guide your selection of a college major. For example, if you held part time positions in retail while in high
school and you absolutely hated the work, you can immediately scratch retail management off your list. However, if you enjoyed the part of the job
that involved setting up product displays, you might seriously want to consider a major in visual merchandising.
The college major that you select impacts the types of jobs you will be qualified for upon graduation.
Don't Panic
Selecting a college major is an important decision, and it is not one that should be made lightly. It is important to remember, however, that declaring a
major is not an irreversible decision. It is not uncommon for college students to change majors one or more times after they enroll in college.
Sometimes, you need time, research, and reflection before you can choose a college major. Setting college goals can help you, as can understanding
different college majors and how they can move you closer to your goals. Do your research, keep an open mind, and be honest with yourself, and you
can choose a college major that

The Importance Of Writing Process In Writing
After this semester I feel that I've not only developed into a better writer but also have grasped a better understanding of the writing process, which is
arguably most important; having a solid foundation for my writing technique is the key to writing well. Throughout middle school and high school, I
have always been told to use the "five paragraph format" when writing essays, but now that I'm in college, I understand that I have been limiting my
creativity and not expressing my opinions and ideas to their fullest extent. To be a good writer, I must put time and effort into my topic and fully
understand the main idea to write a satisfactory essay. So far, I feel as if I'm doing alright. `When I first begin the writing process I always start by
typing out the full story. Personally, I can't sit down and plan what I'm going to write about; formal drafting makes me feel as if I have writers'
block. Over the years I have taken bits and pieces of advice about my writing and incorporated those snippets of guidance and suggestions into what
my writing style is today. I don't think I'm a bad writer, but I could work on developing more of my essays into "A cakes."
In the narrative essay, I chose a topic that most of my peers could relate to and a topic that was very important to me personally. Being a new driver
is exciting, however, it also is potentially very dangerous, and I really wanted to capture that in my writing. Your feedback stated that I needed to use

Essay about Communication Process
Communication Process
Introduction
Communication establishes relationships and makes organizing possible. Every message has a purpose or objective. The sender intends –– whether
consciously or unconsciously –– to accomplish something by communicating. In organizational contexts, messages typically have a definite objective:
to motivate, to inform, to teach, to persuade, to entertain, or to inspire. This definite purpose is, in fact, one of the principal differences between casual

Due Process Essay
Due Process
The phrase "innocent until proven guilty" has been quoted for many years. In our society, we have labeled the accused person either guilty or not
guilty without giving that person or persons their rith of due process. Webster's New World College Dictionary Fourth Edition says: "Due Process is
the course of legal proceedings established by the legal system of a nation or state to protect individual rights and liberties." Due Process will allow
an accused person time to go through the court proceeding, in hope of proving his or her innocence or guilt. Due Process will give the individuals

A jury trial is made up of twelve citizens of the community who have been randomly selected to serve on the jury. The jury had been given the
authority to judge the facts of the case, and them apply the law that was given by the judge to those facts, and render a verdict of guilty or not guilty.
During the jury trial, the accused person will be represented either by a paid lawyer of his or her choice or by a court–appointed one. During the trial it
is solely upon the prosecution to prove the guilt of the accused person, and it is up to the accused person and his representation to rebut the
information the prosecution presents. When the jury has heard all of the evidence against the accused person, they will decide on whether the
person is guilty or not guilty. If the accused person is found guilty by the jury, he or she will be sentenced according to the law. If the accused person
is found not guilty by the jury, he or she will be able to return back into society as a free person.
As we can see, due process has changed our justice system from hastily–prosecution to time consuming investigation of all the facts. We should stop
pre–judging the accused person until all of the facts are made known unto us. Due process has given all accused citizens an equal opportunity to tell
their story, and the right to question the evidence that was brought against them. Even though due process has guaranteed the accused person his or her

The Law-Making Process
Laws are the foundation of our society, they keep citizens safe and preserve our individual freedoms. Before a law is enacted it must start out as a
bill. Each bill has an extensive process it must go through to become a law of the United States of America. This process of approval ensures that
those three different parts of government agree on the bill before it becomes a law. In order to become law, a bill needs to be approved by the House
of Representatives, the Senate, and the President of the United States. The law–making process, or Legislative process, can be broken into two basic
steps, proposition and approval. These steps are the traditional and basic steps. As time went on, these steps have been altered and changed. A bill

matter and either can occur. As USA.gov states, "Once a bill is introduced, Representatives or Senators will meet in small groups to discuss,
research or make changes to it" (USA). This shows that a bill can go to either house of Congress first, and once there the bill is discussed again
and possibly amended. If the bill were to go to the House of Representatives first, they would send it to the "House Committee on Rules" (Krutz
435), where the parameters for debate would be set, such as length and amendments. After the committee sets the regulations on debate, it is sent to
the House of Representatives floor where any debate and amendments occur. Once any possible amendments are made, the bill is voted on by the
House of Representatives where it would need the Majority plus one to pass. If the bill were to be passed it would then move on to the Senate. As
votesmart.org states "[In the Senate] debate is unlimited unless cloture is invoked. Members can speak as long as they want and amendments need not
be germane" (VoteSmart). This shows that once a bill reaches the Senate there is unlimited debate on it. This also shows that any amendment made
does not have to pertain directly to the bill at hand, unlike the House of Representatives. The Senate has a special power that they can perform called a

definition of a process essay, how to construct it, and how to use proper transitions to make the essay flow. To begin, one must know the definition
of a process essay. A process essay can be classified into either of two categories depending on its purpose. The first is an essay explaining how to
do something, while the latter explains how something works. When writing an essay that is telling the reader how to do something, the reader

To bake anything you need to preheat your oven, this recipe calls for the oven to be at 350 degrees...show more content...
After the noodles are fully cooked drain them with your strainer and set them aside. Also drain the chicken, leaving the onion and garlic in the pot
because you won't need them after that. When the chicken cools off start shredding it into the other bowl you brought out. Mix in the marina sauce
with the shredded chicken until the chicken is evenly coated. You've prepared your ingredients now it's time to put everything together.
No lasagna looks perfect so instead of trying to make it look perfect, focus on getting as much pasta, chicken and cheese as you can in there. Prepare
your pan by spraying it with cooking spray so nothing sticks. Start off by laying down three or four (depending on your pan size) noodles
diagonally down into your pan. Grab the ricotta cheese mixture and evenly spread it on the noodles. After the noodles are covered with cheese begin
to spread the chicken and marina sauce on top of the cheese. Finally, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken then repeat the
previous four steps until there is no room left in the pan. Once your pan is completely full cover it tightly in foil paper, and put it in the oven. Let the
lasagna cook for about an hour, then remove the foil and put it back into the oven for about ten minutes. Once the lasagna is done cooking take it out,
let it cool, and then serve it.
Now that you see the entire process of making lasagna you can see how simple it

Essay About Information Processing Theory

  • 1. Essay about Information Processing Theory Information Processing Theory Selicia Whidbee–Denmon AED202 April 1, 2012 Tracey Morgado Abstract Information Processing Theory The information processing theory is a group of theoretical frame works that address how the human beings receive, think about, mentally, modify and remember information and how such cognitive processes change over the course of development. (Child development pg.186) Information processing theory emerged in the late 1950s and early 1960s and has continued to evolve in the decades that have followed. (Child development pg.186) The five key components in the information process theory are sensation, perception, sensory register, working memory, and long–term memory. Sensation is the physiological...show more content... Then the information goes to working memory, which allows that active information to stay around for a few seconds. After that, in–depth processing begins making connections between new information and existing knowledge through rehearsal, organization, and elaboration. Last is the long–term memory which now stores the information for retrieval at a later day and time. Input from the environment is what keeps information going in the model. As a child grows, the child's information becomes more complex, the distractions start to decrease and the attention span becomes longer. Children begin to process more and more and faster. The information process theory is used by researchers to study cognitive development in children. They have focused on areas such as the gradual improvements in children's ability to take in information and focus selectively on certain parts of it and their increase attention spans and capacity for memory storage. (Ken R. Wells, healthofchildren.com) Infants–two years old As babies come into the world, they learn to use their senses to explore the world around them. Most newborns focus on and follow objects. Babies also see all colors, then they start recognizing faces and they also start imitating facial expressions of others. My four month old baby did see the

The job of the source is to translate ideas and images in his or her mind into verbal or non–verbal symbols that an audience can recognize. Verbal symbols are words, sentences, sounds, vocally produce noises or alternative utterances that are said aloud in order to convey some meaning. For example, stop! Is a word conveying a particular action by sound and can be written out or spoken. Nonverbal symbols are messages sent to a receiver from the source by means of body language, facial expressions, eye contact, touching, signs and gestures. For example, the speaker may encode in gestures how big something is by separating his or her hands or something small by bringing them closer

Chapter 3: Product Design and Process Selection Chapter 3: Product Design and Process Selection Answers to Assigned Discussion Questions in Textbook 1.Define product design and explain its relationship to business strategy. Product design is the process of determining all the features and characteristics of a product or service. The design of the product or service must match the business strategy in order for the company to be successful. For example, if we create a product with numerous features, it would probably be more expensive to produce. This would not help us if our goal is to provide a low cost product. 2.What are the differences between product and service design? Recall that the key differences between manufacturing and service is the fact that...show more content... Vertical integrationis more effective for continuous operations in which the number of input materials is small. Fine (1998) points out that successful companies move back and forth between being vertically integrated and not in order to remain competitive over longer periods of time. 9.What is a process flowchart and what is it used for? A process flowchart is a diagram that shows all of the process steps for producing a product or service. It is useful in analyzing the process flows in order to make improvements. For example, we can identify potential problem areas and decide how to prevent the problem from occurring. 10.Give some examples of automation. How has automation changed the production process? Automation is the use of machines that can perform work without assistance from a human worker. Examples of automation are automated material handling, computer–aided design (CAD), flexible manufacturing systems (FMS), robotics and computer–integrated manufacturing (CIM). Automation has enabled production to be more consistent in terms of quality and to efficiently produce larger volumes of product.

It is the essential ability to combine empathy, creativity and rationality to meet user needs and drive business success. Unlike analytical thinking, design thinking is a creative process based around the building up of ideas. There are no judgments early on the design thinking (Simon, 1969, p. 55). Design thinking includes imagination and reason, a combination of convergent and divergent thought, and creativity. Design thinking might be thought of as dialectic, or conversation. Deep understanding of the context of client and user needs is generated through analytical observation or ethnographic research that task seek to understand the fundamental use and usability needs of the customer or user and the meaning–based needs (Archer, 1984, 64). In the observation phase, data is collected to elicit the stories that help to understand culture and meaning in variety of forms: field notes, focus groups, interviews, transcripts, photographs, video and audio tapes, participant or non–participant observation, and formal ethnographic (Beckman & Barry, 2007). The second stage of design thinking is frameworks the design problem: this phase requires processing and a large amount of information –which is collected from the observation phase– but at the same time being able to see what is missing for the customers and users information. The ultimate purpose of the framing phase is to reframe the design problem, to come up with a new story to tell about how the user might solve his or her problem, or to come up with a new way of seeing problem, to identify interesting dimension, to identifying and formulation the goals, to identifying external and internal constrains (Oxman, 1997, p. 344), to create design brief –outline programme– and time lines and providing the boundaries of the design field (Archer, 1984, p. 67; Cross, 2006, p. 32). • 9. Reflection About My Writing Process My writing processes nowadays have changed thank you to my English 100 level class at Arizona Western College, I feel more confident with my writing style. At the beginning of the class I was very confused with the writing process and the steps to make an essay. I had a difficult time developing an outline and putting together my ideas, so I was not able to write an essay with a good structure. In addition, my grammar was not the best, and some of my sentences were incomplete. During the class period I learned about grammar, how to write complete sentences, how to brainstorm and the importance of an outline. It has become easier for me to organize my ideas in order to develop a well–structured essay. An essay should contain a topic, one thesis, body paragraphs that support the thesis, and a conclusion. The thesis will tell the reader what is the writer purpose of the essay, the body paragraphs support the thesis and the topic sentences of each one. Least but not last, I learned the importance of a peer review, this process was very helpful in the class because I was able to receive constructive feedback from my classmates, and I was able to improve my papers with the suggestions that my classmates gave me on my drafts. In this class I learned about three type of essays; narrative, process, and persuasive essay. The narrative essay is used to tell a story, it is chronological, and usually involves the writerĐ’Ò‘s point of view, and feelings. The narrative essay has a lot of details to get the reader involve in the story, and make it more interesting. The process essay is used to describe how to do something or how something occurs. For example; how to accomplish an activity, task, operation, etc. The process essay uses body paragraphs to describe the steps needed to complete or finish the activity. The persuasive essay is used to convince the reader to believe or adopt certain type of view. The persuasive essay uses arguments and facts to make the reader believe an idea by using logic and critical thinking. I believe the persuasive essay is the most difficult one to write compared to the narrative and process essay because it is very difficult to focus on one belief and change peopleĐ’Ò‘s opinions regarding Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. How Process Has Worked So Well For Me Essay Introduction Writing is something that all people have to do some people always use the same methods and others use a different method each time. For me, I use the same method each time, and throughout this paper I will be explaining my process and why that process has worked so well for me. I never knew what my process was fully until I started to write this paper and that is when I started to realize all of the steps that I took when it came to writing a paper. Methods Before starting to write this paper or any paper for that matter. I started to think about what I do before I start writing a paper and how I continue to write that paper. I used the chart that was given to us in class to help map my ideas better, this is what I came up with. The general steps I take are listening to the instructions given, setting up the format for my paper, taking a few days to think (unconsciously) about what my paper should include, opening up my laptop and taking a few hours to just type my heart out, I leave my paper for a day or so and I come back and write the new ideas that I have floating down, I then start to revise. These steps do repeat themselves during certain times in my process. Normally I do not use a sheet to write down my thoughts and steps they just happen but for this paper I took a different approach. The steps I take are always the same and the reasons why I explore down below. Findings and Discussion Before starting a paper of course I have to learn about Get more content on HelpWriting.net

A nursing diagnosis is a clinical judgment about actual or potential individual, family, or community experiences/responses to health problems/life processes. A nursing diagnosis provides the basis for selection of nursing interventions to achieve outcomes for which the nurse has accountability (Defining the Knowledge," 2012). The third standard of practice is outcomes identification. During this phase, the registered nurse identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation ("American Nurses Association," 2010). During this step outcomes must be derived from the nursing diagnosis and must be measurable, realistic and attainable by the patient. The registered nurse involves the patient, family, heath care providers, and others in formulating expected outcomes when possible and appropriate. The registered nurse must also consider associated risks, benefits, costs, current scientific evidence, expected trajectory of the condition, and clinical expertise when formulating outcomes ("American Nurses Association," 2010). • 14. Design Process : A Model Process Essay 5.Design process 5.1 Design process The design process is the transformation of an idea, needs, or wants by stakeholders, consumers or the marketplace, into an artefact that satisfies these needs. Wallace and Blessing made a different angle to systematic design by mentioning two contrasting ways in which design can be approached. The systematic generation of solutions set out by Pahl and Beitz is a problem–orientated approach. Another approach is a more artefact–oriented approach, which is evident in the initial product idea then continually kept through the design process. 5.1.1Prescriptive or descriptive There is much literature regarding on how to form the design process. Reading the literature these can be placed into two different categories, these can be descriptive process models (see Figure 1 (appendix A)) and the prescriptive process models (see Figure 2 (appendix A)), both of which are commonly represented by flow diagrams. The descriptive models attempt to replicate the sequence of occurrences throughout the general design process. The prescriptive models are then built upon these descriptive models in order to guide the designers more efficiently through the design process. Although the prescriptive models are by definition not normally used design practices, many are so generic and well known that they only remain prescriptive to novice design engineers. According to papers the most famous and commonly quoted of these processes is the Pahl and Get more content on HelpWriting.net

How to Choose a College Major (Process Essay) How to Choose a College Major At some point in the process of choosing a college, you may have to choose a college major, or at the very least begin to narrow your options. While being undecided for awhile is fine, you probably want to have some idea of what you want to do when you start the college application process. You want to make sure you make the right college choice, and there's nothing worse than finding your dream school only to realize it doesn't offer the major you've ultimately chosen. However, if you enjoyed the part of the job that involved setting up product displays, you might seriously want to consider a major in visual merchandising. The college major that you select impacts the types of jobs you will be qualified for upon graduation. It is important to remember, however, that declaring a major is not an irreversible decision. It is not uncommon for college students to change majors one or more times after they enroll in college. The Importance Of Writing Process In Writing After this semester I feel that I've not only developed into a better writer but also have grasped a better understanding of the writing process, which is arguably most important; having a solid foundation for my writing technique is the key to writing well. Throughout middle school and high school, I have always been told to use the "five paragraph format" when writing essays, but now that I'm in college, I understand that I have been limiting my creativity and not expressing my opinions and ideas to their fullest extent. To be a good writer, I must put time and effort into my topic and fully understand the main idea to write a satisfactory essay. So far, I feel as if I'm doing alright. `When I first begin the writing process I always start by typing out the full story. Personally, I can't sit down and plan what I'm going to write about; formal drafting makes me feel as if I have writers' block. Over the years I have taken bits and pieces of advice about my writing and incorporated those snippets of guidance and suggestions into what my writing style is today. I don't think I'm a bad writer, but I could work on developing more of my essays into "A cakes." In the narrative essay, I chose a topic that most of my peers could relate to and a topic that was very important to me personally. Being a new driver is exciting, however, it also is potentially very dangerous, and I really wanted to capture that in my writing. Your feedback stated that I needed to use more vivid Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The treatment for sexual offenders is done in a three principal approach which is cognitive behavioral approach, psycho–educational approach, and pharmacological approach. The cognitive behavioral approach gives emphasis on altering the habits of the offended relating toward sexual offending and "deviant patterns of arousal". (CSOM) This means altering the daily habits of the offender which may be everything they had known previously to incarceration. The second principal of psycho–educational focuses on altering the offender's state of mind toward their victims and attempts to instill the understanding of how they inflicted harm with their actions. With psychology there is never a set time on how long a set goal will be reached. Times vary between individuals and can sometime never reach their desired outcome. In our society, we have labeled the accused person either guilty or not guilty without giving that person or persons their rith of due process. Webster's New World College Dictionary Fourth Edition says: "Due Process is the course of legal proceedings established by the legal system of a nation or state to protect individual rights and liberties." Due Process will allow an accused person time to go through the court proceeding, in hope of proving his or her innocence or guilt. Due Process will give the individuals who have been accused of a crime the right to a fair and public trial, the right to be at the trial, the rith to an impartial jury, and the...show more content... A jury trial is made up of twelve citizens of the community who have been randomly selected to serve on the jury. The jury had been given the authority to judge the facts of the case, and them apply the law that was given by the judge to those facts, and render a verdict of guilty or not guilty. During the jury trial, the accused person will be represented either by a paid lawyer of his or her choice or by a court–appointed one. During the trial it is solely upon the prosecution to prove the guilt of the accused person, and it is up to the accused person and his representation to rebut the information the prosecution presents. When the jury has heard all of the evidence against the accused person, they will decide on whether the person is guilty or not guilty. If the accused person is found guilty by the jury, he or she will be sentenced according to the law. If the accused person is found not guilty by the jury, he or she will be able to return back into society as a free person. As we can see, due process has changed our justice system from hastily–prosecution to time consuming investigation of all the facts. We should stop pre–judging the accused person until all of the facts are made known unto us. Due process has given all accused citizens an equal opportunity to tell their story, and the right to question the evidence that was brought against them. Each bill has an extensive process it must go through to become a law of the United States of America. This process of approval ensures that those three different parts of government agree on the bill before it becomes a law. In order to become law, a bill needs to be approved by the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the President of the United States. The law–making process, or Legislative process, can be broken into two basic steps, proposition and approval. These steps are the traditional and basic steps. As time went on, these steps have been altered and changed. A bill ...show more content... The bill is brought up to either the House of Representatives or the Senate first, the house of Congress that views the bill first does not necessarily matter and either can occur. As USA.gov states, "Once a bill is introduced, Representatives or Senators will meet in small groups to discuss, research or make changes to it" (USA). This shows that a bill can go to either house of Congress first, and once there the bill is discussed again and possibly amended. If the bill were to go to the House of Representatives first, they would send it to the "House Committee on Rules" (Krutz 435), where the parameters for debate would be set, such as length and amendments. After the committee sets the regulations on debate, it is sent to the House of Representatives floor where any debate and amendments occur. Once any possible amendments are made, the bill is voted on by the House of Representatives where it would need the Majority plus one to pass. If the bill were to be passed it would then move on to the Senate. As votesmart.org states "[In the Senate] debate is unlimited unless cloture is invoked. Members can speak as long as they want and amendments need not be germane" (VoteSmart). This shows that once a bill reaches the Senate there is unlimited debate on it. This also shows that any amendment made does not have to pertain directly to the bill at hand, unlike the House of Representatives. The Senate has a special power that they can perform called a Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Finally, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken then repeat the previous four steps until there is no room left in the pan.
