There are loads of different job opportunities in the media industry.
Some of them we are aware of such as a film producer. But others
we are not. It is a great experience and knowledge boost to go
through. A few examples of the jobs in the media are:
Film Producer – is someone who creates the scenes and conditions for
making a film.
Film Director – is a person who directs the making or production of a film.
Film Editor – involves selecting scenes, combining shots, connecting the
resulting sequencing and actually making a completed film.
Journalist – gathers and distributes information about current events,
people, trends and issues.
News anchor – a person that presents a news show on television, radio or
the internet.
Runner- acts as a general assistant and undertakes any basic task required.
Public Relations Officer – it is all about managing reputation. They use
all forms of media and communication to build, maintain and manage the
reputation of organizations ranging from public bodies or services to
businesses and voluntary services.
Communications Officer – has to contact people from other companies
to gather information or even to invite the to a show.
Press Officer – acts as the official media contact for a specific, public or
private organization, handling all media internet
Animator – is an artist that creates multiple images called frames that come
together like an illusion of movement.
