1. To whom it may concern.
My name is Craig Watson and I am looking to further my career in
Workplace Health and Safety for the mining or civil construction
industries.
I returned permanently to Australia after extensive travel and living
in the UK for 23yrs, in which time I spent 18 years working in civil
construction.
Starting on the ground, moving on to machines, then as leading
hand/foreman, supervisor. And now as workers safety
representative. I have completed my Diploma of Workplace health
and safety and cert iv Training and Assessment as well as
certificate iii in Civil construction. I have also changed my British
excavator ticket and other qualifications to the Australian
equivalent.
I have experience from subdivisions to large projects. i.e. Sewage
and water treatment plants, large pipelines, road construction, and
now quarry and construction of the new airport in Toowoomba.
I am confident operating many kinds of plant and machinery, I
have worked with management to complete plans to timescales
and budget. I am confident in organizing and directing work crews,
sub-contractors, toolbox talks, safe operating procedures, risk
assessments and accident investigations, internal and external
Audits, and the implementation of the necessary controls and
procedures to comply with health and safety legislation, regulation
and company policy.
I work well with other people, in a team or by myself on any given
job. I am passionate about safety, intelligent, hard working,
diligent, ambitious and considerate of my surroundings and the
people in it.
I am married with no children, happy to travel (fifo, dido) or re-locate
and willing to undertake any task or training that is required
of me to fulfill my duties.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my resume, and I look
forward to hearing from you to discuss the position further.
Craig Watson
