Responsible for developing and maintaining the Cummins technology strategy and plan
(engines, components and power generation). This includes the evaluation and
recommendation of new technologies, processes and tools.

As CTO, responsible for the global oversight and technical functional excellence leadership
related to the research and product development of turbochargers, aftertreatment, filtration,
fuel systems and electronics. This included oversight of a technical budget of $250 million
and a global organization of 2000+ engineers.
Chief Technical Officer - India
Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, CRTI (July 2008 – July 2011)
As CTO, responsible for the oversight and functional excellence leadership of the
engineering activities in India across all Cummins businesses and entities – this included
leading the Technical Functional Excellence activities as a part of the Cummins Operating
System (COS) in India. As CEO & MD of CRTI, manage and oversaw all aspects of
business planning, engineering development and support, facility, IT, supplier and financial
management, equipment procurement, recruitment, performance appraisal, and legal and
government compliance.

Cummins Emission Solutions (May 2005 – June 2008)
Responsible for the global oversight and technical functional excellence activities related
to the research and product development of aftertreatment products (including selective
catalytic reduction and diesel particulate filters.) This included oversight of a technical
budget of $35 million and a global organization of 150+ people.
Executive Director, Engineering Support
Fleetguard (June 2002 – April 2005)
Responsible for the global design, analysis, drafting and lab services for the Fleetguard
Division. This included supervisory responsibility of 7 managers/directors and 115
engineers and technicians. Developed an offshoring/outsourcing strategy for design,
analysis and drafting in India and Turkey – resulted in $1 million savings in 2004. Also
led Design Engineering Functional Excellence for all Cummins worldwide

Led activities related to the design and development of a high speed V8 diesel engine for light
duty vehicles (pick-ups and SUV’s.) This activity included the technical supervision of 35-40
engineers and technicians plus direct interaction with key US and foreign vehicle OEM’s and Tier
1 component suppliers.
Manager, Applied Mechanics (June 1992 – September 1993)
Led activities related to Experimental Mechanics laboratories (including fatigue and vibration
testing as well as finite element analysis.) This included the management and supervision of 11
engineers and 8 technicians plus management of a $50 million lab.

Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical aspects of the design activities for an advanced
1500 hp diesel engine powertrain for military vehicles. This included developing proposal
submissions, contract negotiations, customer liaison activities and the supervision of 7 design
engineers and 5 drafting technicians
