Learning and Development
Training and Safety
Over the courseof a substantial career in learningand development, primarily in high-risk project
environments, I have builta professional practicethatextends from oversightof complianceand regulatory
elements of training(includingVOC management) to design and deployment of continuous improvement
initiatives.
Recent projects have included workingfor tier one contractors such as Bechtel and operators such as
Santos, where I have developed general trainingprograms, managed trainingbudgets developed and
coordinated on-siteand offsitetrainingprograms and led strategies to improve quality and consistency of
the LMS and other key systems.
I am comfortable representing largeoperations, such as the Santos GLNG operation atGladstone, in
discussions on trainingwith government bodies, local councils, industry bodies and educational institutions,
as well as developingstrategies to sharetraining costs with competitors.
With much of my work being project and contractdependent (such as deployments to Hay Point Expansion
Project, Broad Meadows Mine, Daunia Mine,South Walker Mine, and Cavil RidgeMine), I also run a driving
instruction school, which I ramp up between contracts and hibernate at other times.
