4. ALFAIDRO PPR-CT
ALFAIDRO PPR-CT, manufactured by Plastica
Alfa for the US market meets the high demands
of buildings and infrastructures. ALFAIDRO
includes FASER pipes with special fibers suitable
for HVAC Systems and UV resistant pipes and
fittings for outdoor installations.
PP-RCT is the latest generation of PPR, shows
an increased resistance to:
• long-term temperature with equal
mechanical performance for pipes with
thinner walls
• less weight
• higher water flow
• lower pressure drop

10. ALFAIDRO PP-RCT - Installation
The welding is simple
and fast and does not
require the use of
sealants or adhesives.
The outer surface and
the inner pipe surfaces
are heated at the same
time on the socket
welder. Once they
reach the welding
temperature, the two
pieces are joined.

making it resistant to external agents (cement,
abrasions, electrochemical attack).
2. Bonding layers : A polymer that strongly adheres to
the internal and external layer of the aluminium layer.
3. Middle layer: An aluminum alloy, longitudinally butt
welded, that acts as an oxygen barrier, reduces the linear
thermal expansion and gives the pipe shape stability and
resistance to bending.

Oxigen Barrier
It is the new PEXB-EVOH multilayer pipe,
produced by Plastica Alfa for closed-loop
hydronic applications, hydraulic systems and
heating systems.
The EVOH Oxygen barrier layer prevents
corrosion of cast iron components.
1. External oxygen barrier layer:
EVOH, guarantees the impermeability to
oxygen and responds to the requirements of
DIN 4726, avoiding the diffusion of oxygen in
heating systems.
2. Bonding layer:
It is obtained by a polymer that strongly
adheres to the internal and external layers.
3.Internal layer:
PEXb gives the pipe the resistance to high
temperatures under pressure, while keeping

20. ALFAIDRO NOFIRE
ALFAIDRO NOFIRE is an innovative
system for Fire Prevention Sytems,
made of PP-RCT added with special
self-extinguishing compound, the
pipes are reinforced by special fibers
that maximize the system’s safety and
reliability.
The system is designed for use in wet
pipe automatic sprinkler systems.
The installation by fusion welding is
simple and quick and does not require
the use of sealants or adhesives.
Moreover, branching is easily done by
using the weld saddles, even after the
installation of the main piping .

22. PP-RCT AGS NOFIRE
• HEAT FUSION:NO glue or chemicals. Joint
becomes a single entity.
• Watertight, uniform inseparable welding.
Pipe is strongest at joint.
• ATOXIC. It has NO HALOGENS or
chemicals that can be released in air
during fire. Only vapor is released at high
temperatures.
• Physically and chemically resistant to most
jobsite chemicals. Physically stronger and
more elastic and does not flake in fire.
• Anti-seismic due to limited flexibility
PVC/CVPC
• Solvent cement. Joint is subject to ageing
and environmental factors.
• Cement application is subjective. Too
much is unhygienic for potable water; not
enough will cause leaks, bursts.
• TOXIC CHLORINE GAS is released in air
during high temperature fires.
• Being glued, it has a high degree of
sensitivity to many jobsite chemicals.
Physically brittle and in high temperature
fires it flakes.
• Not anti-seismic due to being rigid and
brittle

We have transition fittings with metal inserts to connect to a new system, a previous
installation or to other threaded metal elements.
There are also saddle fittings that can be welded directly to the external part of the
pipe, suitable and practical for branching off.

Compact PP-RCT valves with chrome plated brass ball and pin,
available from size ø1/2” to ø6”. Thanks to the one-piece body and
welding technique, they grant high safety parameters (the ball and
gasket cannot move from their site, even under the most extreme
operating conditions).
