The document contains recommendations and descriptions of mandatory
safety and health standards. It is intended to help employers and workers
identify risk levels in workplace settings and to determine any appropriate
control measures to implement.

OSHA Extends Silica Exposure Emphasis Program
in 4 Areas
OSHA is extending its emphasis program for silica exposure in West
Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. The NEP
on respirable crystalline silica will target specific industries expected to
have the highest numbers of workers exposed to silica. It will also focus on
the enforcement of two new silica standards.

Temporary OSHA Enforcement Guidance for Respirator Fit-Testing in Healthcare
OSHA has issued temporary guidance regarding its Respiratory Protection standard to ensure healthcare workers
have access to N95 respiratory protection. OSHA recommends healthcare personnel who provide direct care to
patients with known or suspected coronavirus with other respirators that provide equal or higher protection, such as
N99 or N100 or other respirators. The guidance also recommends healthcare employers change from a quantitative
fit testing method to a qualitative method to preserve integrity of N95 respirators. Learn more.
White Paper Identifies 9 Exceptions to OSHA Injury Reporting
In most cases, injuries that occur at work are work-related and must be recorded to maintain compliance with OSHA
