Many people have the legacy of being a great doctor or a fantastic husband. I would like mine to be about the positive things I did in life. Even when I
made mistakes I want people to remember I always tried to fix what I did wrong. Well for me I would like my legacy to be good. I want to be

Personal Essay On Myself As A Writer
As a child, I had no help from my parents when it came to school work. My mom worked as a field worker and my dad as a truck driver, I normally
saw them around 8 at night, they came home exhausted and prepared for another early day for work. My parents lacked skills I was being taught at
school and no experience speaking English. Consequently I had no one to rely on for help on homework and had no older sibling or anyone else
around to help me out. Learning how to read and write properly was difficult, Spanish had been my first language.
I learned how to become independent. No one was there to pick me up from volleyball and softball practice, I had to walk across town by myself
in order to get home. Getting my homework done and getting to practice by myself became normal. As a child it took me a couple of hours trying to
figure out my homework. I had to pay attention to everything I was being taught and ask for extra help in class in order to do any sort of work given
to me. In second grade, I had trouble writing sentences with new vocabulary words, despite my parents efforts to help me I struggled for hours working
on these assignments. I constantly read books to improve my English....show more content...
Being independent as a young child had been extremely difficult, I had no idea how to work on my own. I would use any and every resource I had to
help me get through assignments. Learning a new language was difficult, I was only able to practice speaking and writing in English at school. My
whole life it was always a matter of being capable to figure everything out for myself knowing no one was available. As I grew older I began finding
ways to make improvements by getting together with friends who were able to

What Makes A Monster? Essay
What defines a monster? Is it their grotesque, unnatural appearance that separates them from the rest of mankind, or is it their lack of remorse and
compassion that makes them different? The word monster conjures up figures from gothic horror of exotic peoples with horrifyingly exaggerated
features, and the kinds of impossible delusive beasts inhabiting the pages of medieval bestiaries. Well at first I thought exactly that. When I used to
hear the word "monster", my mind immediately pictured the petrifying beast that took residence under my bed for a substantial portion of my
childhood. It had demonic beating red eyes, razor sharp teeth that glistened with fresh blood and amphibian like scales covering every inch of its
enormous body. However, as I got older, I started to realize that there was no such thing as monsters and that it was all just a figment of my
imagination. Accordingly, the fear of the monster under my bed slowly dissipated. Nevertheless, it wasn't until after reading a quote by my favorite
author, Steven King, that I was finally able to fully comprehend what the true definition of the word "monster" really was. "Monsters are real, ghosts
are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes they win". It had taken me awhile to truly grasp what King had meant, but then it clicked. Everyone
has a monster inside them, dormant or not. That monster is the voice we hear in the back of our heads, urging us to cheat or to steal, and in some
instances, worse. That monster

Essay About Myself
There are three very important aspects that play a major rule in my life. They can be categorized as intellectual, social, and spiritual. My intellectual
self is interesting because I am mainly right–brained which means that I tend to use my creativity more than my mathematical skills, also making me
a visual learner. My social self consists of friends, family, and my surroundings. I spend most of my time at home with my family. Whenever I am
with my friends, I observe their behaviors and listen to their opinions. I am more of an independent type of person. Being with different people has
influenced me into appreciating different cultures and beliefs. I have learned things that have now been incorporated into my own set of beliefs and

I find that I can only recall long–term memories if they are important to me, or if they are dramatic experiences. A few examples of my childhood
memories are my mother reading to me, my grandfather playing his guitar, and my dad relentlessly teaching me how to ice skate, no matter how
many times I fell. The people who affect my social life the most are my family and friends. I have an extremely close family that has played a
major role in my life. They are whom I spend most of my spare time with. My family usually gathers every weekend for dinner. I am also very open
to different religions, cultures, and practices because I know many people with different backgrounds and beliefs. Since I've been influenced by
various people, I've learned at a very young age to never judge people by how they look, dress, feel, or act. I am very fortunate to have learned
these lessons, because many people still do not understand the importance of accepting differences. In a group, I prefer to listen to what others have
to say, and then contribute to the discussion. I try to listen so I am able to compare them to my own thoughts. I enjoy working in a group, because it
gives everyone an opportunity to incorporate their own ideas. My social self is most greatly influenced by my family and friends. I believe that my
spiritual self is the most important out of the three. Although I have a certain religion that I belong to and practice, I believe in a bit of

Digital Media Admission Essay
Throughout my childhood, I've always wanted to tell a story from my perspective. I was born with introverted tendencies, and I still have a hard
time articulating to people my thoughts. But creating short films has always been an effective medium to express my true self to the audience
around me. Most importantly, creating short stories helps me to understand who I am. I would like to be considered for the IFDM program because I
believe I was born to tell a story, and I would like the experience of others to help shape my influence.
My first experience with digital media started at Volcano VistaHigh School. Registering as an incoming freshman, I wanted to become a
photographer. I distinctly remember registering for photography class, but I was stuck with digital media as an alternative. I like to joke that it was
either destiny that put me in that class, or a huge mistake. Nonetheless, I instantly fell in love with digital media. My teacher, Jan Sherer, provided me
with equipment and software to be able to learn the basics of digital media. Although she was unpopular by most students in her class, I always
considered her a mentor. By senior year, I became proficient in most adobe products such as Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition. I
also learned different camera techniques thanks to her teachings. She also entrusted me with a cameraman job for the schools daily morning...show more

I am currently holding an internship with Moji studios, and a couple of my coworkers have graduated under IFDM. What I've noticed with IFDM
graduates is that their level of skills in the field they specialize in is astounding. Furthermore, graduates of IFDM have a higher chance of finding a
career, or so I hear. I would love to take this program so that I can find my specialty in digital media, and mature those skills to a professional level. I
know IFDM can provide me with the tools that I

My Peer Review
Reviewing my peer's articles thought me a lot about where my writing stood in relation to my peers. It also taught me what flaws in writing I could
fall victim to in the future. I also learned that my peers are great writers and could form arguments very efficiently. I think that all my peers did great
research on their topics and very knowledgeable about them. We do have to use ethos is our papers and their first hand experience with interviews
were great. The interviews had purpose and you can see that they put in effort to learn their audience and topic.
From my peer's feedback, I think I took the most out of it from their paragraphs at the end. I did make some grammatical mistakes, which they pointed

You can revise your paper many times and it still won't be perfect. However, the harder you work on it revising it, it's only going to be beneficial
for you. Furthermore, the research and getting to know your audience part in the beginning stages are pretty crucial. It shapes how your paper is
going to be perceived by the audience and what type of argument you will be putting forward. For example, is your audience going to react to more
pathos then ethos. If it's a sensitive subject pathos might be a better way to go about the paper and bring out that emotion, in order to persuade.

My Writing
In the past four years, I have written many papers for various classes, enjoying some and others having to choke out words to write down. In this
memo I will describe my writing projects and how they made me become a better writer, and how they will continue to help develop me into a
becoming a more prosperous writer.
What I Really Learned in English 100
Well as a recent pupil of the Great McFadden I want to do all that I can to be on his good side, for he said that if I go one mile to meet him, he will go
two miles to meet me, which seems more that fair. As an assignment I am told that I have to write what I learned in English 100 and how that it

Having taken many writing classes I have learned many things about writing. I enjoy writing and can often write many pages about things that I am
interested in. I know that I have more learning to do about writing, and hopefully in the next couple weeks my knowledge of writing will have
expanded and my writing will have improved.
My Experience With Writing Arguments
I am unaware of any writing arguments. The only thing I can really think of is writing a research paper with the intent to change people's minds on a
certain subject. I remember researching for weeks in the library, looking through magazine after magazine. I had searched for enough information to
write a ten–page paper. The writing process of the paper took several weeks but when I had finished, all the hard work was worth the effort. I learned
many things from that course such as that you need to search for all the information you can because it is better to have too much information than not
enough. Also that course taught me many things about making references to the authors of the articles I used for my paper. I remember writing out
note card after note card and keeping all the necessary information about each book or magazine. That course taught me to become a better writer and
to respect how much detail really goes into a research paper like I had written. Other than that, I have not really had much experience in

Reflection Paper
In Senior year, my only goal consisted of finding platforms that would provide optimal opportunities to convince colleges they need me at their
schools. To reach my goal, I took the ACT fives times, constantly checked my GPA average, and volunteered frequently. None of this, however,
compares to the biggest step I accomplished while working towards my goal: Completing Composition 1. When I signed up for my first college
class, I imagined a scene similar to that of a movie with a huge room containing over one hundred college students brainlessly jotting down notes
from a professor's PowerPoint. I did not expect the class to look similar to an average high school classroom. However looks can be deceiving, and
upon my journey into a transition between a high school experience to a college one, I found the level of difficulty to increase tenfold. Everything
needed more effort, more time, and more evaluation. What I thought I knew about writing was flipped upside down and rearranged. Composition I
taught me more than I thought I would learn in the class. The course taught me how to use the writing process to improve my writing and utilize
various grammatical sentence structures, as well as produce impressive summaries over any college reading thrown my way.
Starting off what would become a semester filled with determination, my professor administered the class with our first true assignment––a grammar
exam. The assignment itself consisted of grammatically incorrect sentences that

My Writing As A Career
Writing is not a profession for me, it's more like a path to reach Zen. I'm a budding creative writer who focusses on coming up with meaningful
contents which can help my readers in some way or the other. So, needless to say, I don't do crappy jobs at all.
I am an avid reader and like to see the historical side of stories to have an understanding of the vastness of wisdom, so that some day, my wisdom
could be reflected through the pages of my writing.
See how dreamy my writing looks ? Don't worry , tell me who your target audience are and I can tailor the story accordingly. But at least when we talk,
lets keep the dreamy side up and create something meaningful and beautiful.

My Writing Experience
Reading and writing has always created a sense of understanding for me in my art. Reading in the literal sense is a way that we understand text or
symbols in our minds which in turn create meaning. Writing also in a literal sense is our way of communicating our knowledge and emotions to others
through symbols in text. The human experience for all people includes communication and through reading and writing this experience is created.
From the beginning of this course, my only prior experience with reading and writing were high school level course over literature and reading. I had
an average level of rhetoric, reading, writing and language overall however, understanding the significance of these subjects was never put forth in such
a way until I took this course. I discovered through this course that reading is a combination of not only our "visual information" but also our
"nonvisual information". My comprehension of reading has evolved from reading...show more content...
I feel that organization is both a strength and a weakness in my writing. Free writing is something that helped me gain a better sense of my ideas and
through this I was able to create more structured ideas. However, the formation of a structurally sound essay that contains writing that flows was
extremely difficult for myself. Fluidity was a challenge throughout my time in this course, but is was also something that created a better voice in my
writing. The understanding of reading and writing in this course was extremely meaningful for me and made a huge impact on my writing overall.
Writing motivates me and inspires me in my own work to create stories and share with others what I feel is memorable and should be shared. Although
it may never be something perfect, writing is something I wish to continue improving on and creating in order to share with

My Reflection Writing
My biggest area of improvement this year as a writer was my style and structure. Last year, in English I, we learned a writing technique called "The
Evidence Sandwich". It was a basic claim, evidence, commentary, structure for writing body paragraphs. This was helpful when I was a freshman,
but as a grew as a writer sophomore year, this made my writing sound static and robotic. As my writing progressed through the school year, I started
breaking free from that structure, enabling me to add flow and style to my writing, while still maintaining the requirements for a successful body
paragraph. Meanwhile, my writing started shifting from pure summary to actual literary analysis. These changes transformed my writing into more
improved and polished papers. A challenge I faced this year was my writing process and my work ethic. At first I was very excited about the amount of
essay writing time we had in class. However, as the year continued, I found the stress of sophomore year and all my other classes clouding my
focus. This made it very hard to sit down in class and work on my essay without reaching to my other binder. I feel that if I had worked harder to
focus in class and get more work done, my essays would have been much better because I would have had more material to revise ahead of time
and ask Ms. Hursh questions on, and less work to do the night before the deadline. Next year, I will aim to use my time in class wisely so I have
more time at home to focus on college and other junior year items.
Section 2: Analysis of my Contribution to Class This year, I added to class dynamic by being invested in my classmate's ideas. During small group
discussion, I listened to my peer's ideas, and added my own thoughts until we reached an understanding of the context read. I asked my peers
questions in small group discussion when I needed clarification and I explained the texts when my peers needed my help as well. Small group
discussion is where I most contributed because I feel pressure and I get nervous when I speak in front of the whole class. I fear that I will say
something wrong or what I say will trigger conflicting ideas back at me. Therefore, when I am in one on one or small group discussion, I feel like

The company's creams inventory remains constant because it does not follow a trend in innovation and changes so often as the other products. The
surplus in inventory is a big disadvantage since; last year's products may not be in style this year in addition to the cost of storage. For all these
reasons their cash flow is less in comparison with previous years causing that Luxor Cosmetics keeps increasing their bank loans, creating more debt,
making it harder to pay out as 2011. In this particular situation the company could have either decrease its budgeted sales (productions) or increase its
actual sales by improving more effective marketing strategy and research and development of its products in the markets. This way their inventory
would decrease and their cash flow would increase. (Hopkins, 2009)
Further, through effective marketing strategy Luxor

My Writing Experience
When it comes to writing, my experience is fairly decent. I have been a writer for the majority of my life when starting back when I was much
younger. I was required to write a small story for a handwriting class, however, I got so hooked into the story that after the class was over, I rewrote
the story in a much larger scale. I would continue writing small stories and poems for the next few years of my life before I decided to take on my
biggest project yet. I planned to make a comic booked based off of the PokГЁmon franchise, but following brand new characters. I often spent my time
daydreaming about the plot, and I eventually realized that the plot had little to do with the PokГЁmon franchise anymore. Instead of quitting however, I

My Writing Way
When it comes down to writing essays or anything else, I would say to myself, I know this isn't going to be good for me at all. Mainly because I
haven't because I haven't adjusted myself or prepared myself to think well while writing essays. I can sometimes over think things while I'm writing,
and it tends to confuse me. That's kind of the reason that I do not enjoy writing till this day.
When it comes down to writing essay's it can be quite simple but then again quite frustrating. Writing can be very stress relieving, because I am able
to express my feelings and thoughts throughout my writing. It takes my mind off the things that I am going through in life such as school, family,
friends, social media, and etc. It helps me focus better knowing that I will have someone else reading my thoughts and feelings once I'm done writing
this essay. Writing is a passage way for me to go into my own world and write about what I feel, see, hear, smell and even taste.
My writing, to me never seems to have a strong flow or passage because the topics never catches my interest nor attention. It's not my specialty, I tend
to think too hard about what I am going to say and write. I find it to be a hard process to translate my thoughts down on paper, mainly because I haven't

My Schedule During The Week Essay
Well, my schedule during the week is usually focused at school or at home. My weeks are never smooth and I usually have a lot of homework because
I am taking 18 units. I specifically handle all my day to day things by the first study and do my homework before I go play a video game, sleep, or eat.
My days feel very structured and I usually tried to prepare and do all my homework at least 1 week ahead. That way I have a bit more time to study for
a test. Most of the time, I get a homework assignment out of nowhere, which always forces me to go with the flow. I organize my day to day by a to

Those classes are usually the longest time–consuming in my week because they are about 3 hours long. On the Saturday and Sunday, most of my
time is to study for the exam or do homework because my class gives me a huge amount of homework. I usually play games for about 30 mins on
randomly on my schedule or when I have a random free time. I sleep about 4 to 5 hours a day in the week, but on the weekend, I sleep about 7 to 9
hours.
There are three examples from the text that I plan to use in my future or now to help me combat my time management in the day to day task. First is
to know how much time I am using for studying and increasing that time if needed. Second is to use a system to plan and set priorities. Lastly, it for
me to stay motivated to follow my plan and avoid procrastination. The three strategies I would use in the textbook would do the most important study
first, use a calendar planner and daily to–do list, and do the easier task first. I choose those three strategies for my time management because time is
the key to be successful. The most important to study first would help me seek a question that I might not know; therefore, I could ask for assistance
if I get stuck in my study. For me to use a calendar planner would help me schedule my time more efficiently. For me to use a daily to–do list will help
me knock off what I need to accomplish by the end of my day. Doing the easier task first is important because it

Throughout this course, writing 101, I have learned how to improve my writing in many aspects. This course has taught me the correct ways to

writer so I had to put in more effort than most other kids in order to improve my papers. On one of my latest essays on Christmas and the reason
behind gift giving, I started it early and was able to write paragraph by paragraph in order to make sure I had the correct structure. I can successfully

CT interpret effective leadership as affected by situational variables, including the followers, work environment and tasks, and the external

My Writing Integrity
Currently a junior, I have still to make my first attempt at the ACTs. However, I do plan on taking these tests at least once, maybe more, so that I
will be able to receive a score that I feel is acceptable for myself. I test very well in school, so I feel like I should also be able to succeed on the ACTs
when it is time to take them. If I'm not able to do earn a score that I'm satisfied with, it will probably be due to the fact that I didn't prepare myself
well enough by practicing on my own. It could also be because I wouldn't focus hard enough during the testing. I possess some writing qualities that
could help me and some that could hurt me on the English portion of the ACTs. I'm far from being a perfect writer, but there are still some writing
qualities that I am more skilled in than others. One of these areas is my ability to provide acceptable sentence structure. Every structured sentence

words so I'm not as repetitive and can sound more professional. To do this, I may need to read more to expand my vocabulary or use a thesaurus
when I'm writing. The area that I'm possibly the worst in is developing a topic. I don't know if I put too much thought into it or don't focus enough,
but I spend an abundance of time developing a topic. Usually, once I have a topic sentence, I'm able to give supporting details fairly easily and cruise

how my essay is structured and if it make seances to them. I will also have to start taking corneal notes in class, and start studding them to make it a
habit on my note taking. And the one thing that I would have to do the most is that I will have to stop procrastinating on my homework I will do this
by asking my mom to no let me do anything until I finished all my homework before I take my dog out or eat or do

I Am Confident For My Writing
Writing has never been my strong suit so I understood why I had been placed into EWRT 211. Before this class I had not written an essay since I
was a junior in high school (six years ago). I have always struggled with writing, but it was not until my first diagnostic essay that I realized how
terrible my writing skills were. Everything about the diagnostic essay screamed that I did not know what I was doing. Since then, I have noticed a vast
improvement in my writing. This class has taught me how to become a better writer by creating stronger theses and by knowing why rough drafts are
important to writing. Nevertheless, I still need to develop better strategies to manage my writing. I chose my essays, What Influences Teens To Become
Adults and Resilience Among College Students, because they demonstrate my growth throughout this class. Even though I still need to improve on
managing my writing, I am confident in moving to EWRT 1A because I have learned how to create strong theses, and how rough drafts have a great
impact on my writing.
Without a strong thesis an essay falls apart and fails to let the reader know what they are trying to say. For instance, in my rough draft Stop of Reality
my thesis was very vague and did not meet the requirements for the essay. It stated, "Although the injustice that these [Native American] women face
still continue to this day, the women these three tribes face...will slowly begin to see justice for the crimes that were committed upon them"

Essay on Writing Experience
My Writing Experiences My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the basics of writing, like putting together sentences,
forming paragraphs with sentences, and things like that. Since I have been taking college English, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In the
future, I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs, research papers, documents, and stories so that I have very little to no
errors with drafting and final products. I predict I will be a well rounded writer when I graduate from college. Writing in the past started in
kindergarten. My teacher taught me how to write my name over and over until I could write it with no errors. All through elementary my teachers
taught me...show more content...
I need to learn to quit thinking as much on what I want to write about and how to write about a topic and just starting jotting stuff down in outline form
as it comes to mind. Run–ons and fragments I need to be able to spot and fix right away or I really need to not have any in my papers at all. My
goals are to write papers and not have to reassure myself that maybe I need to do more research or have more data or even have to rethink my
whole topic over. I would love to have the knowledge to be a tutor someday and teach other people how to properly write papers, paragraphs,
essays, and maybe even books. To have excellent skills in writing will definitely be a great advantage in my nursing profession. In nursing, I will
have to do lots of charting on my patients. I will have to do health presentations on various subjects such as exercising, how our society eats, and
sex education if I want to be a course instructor. Researching information on all of those topics I will have to make sure I do an excellent job on and
collect accurate information and statistics so that I can compare to other sources. Dictating to the doctor means that I will need to write properly so
that he understands what I am saying. Other nurses will have to be able to understand what I am talking about by my writing skills when doing shift
changes. I will have to be very precise so that other nurses will not

How Do Essay
I started Tang Soo Do when I was 4 or 5 years old. I was scared and I did not want to go onto the mat. I was told by my moms that I had to take
martial arts but I did not want to. I stayed with my martial arts training and learned a whole lot of things. For example, I learned about courage,
confidence, leadership, and more.
I was afraid because I did not know what Tang Soo Do was and I thought it was dangerous because of the pads. I thought that the pads were hard and if
I kicked the pad then I would break my arm or leg. I was afraid of the boards because they looked so hard and I thought when I kicked the board then I
would get a splinter in my foot, elbow or hand. When I tried to break the board for the first time, I did not break it but I did not get hurt and I did not
get a splinter. It took...show more content...
I was afraid because the moves for Bassai looked hard but then I remembered the first time I broke my first board. Then, I remembered each form I
practiced and practiced then I got better. Tang Soo Do means to try when I am scared and when practice will help me get better.
I like being a leader and each new dee I got to be a leader and help kids that were not seniors know what to do. Tang Soo Do is about being a leader and
helping other kids. I learned the history of Tang Soo Do. I learned how to kick, punch, forms, board–breaking and self–defense. Tang Soo Do is very
important to me because of the self–defense that I have learned can save me from danger.
I learned self–control, respect, focus, courage, honesty, humility; this helps me be a good person not a bad person. When I was little, I would copy
other kids but now because of my martial arts training I know how to control of myself.
I learned the meaning of respect. Respect is do not talk when someone is talking, cooperative with my brother, listen to my moms, teachers, and

  • 2. Personal Essay On Myself As A Writer As a child, I had no help from my parents when it came to school work. My mom worked as a field worker and my dad as a truck driver, I normally saw them around 8 at night, they came home exhausted and prepared for another early day for work. My parents lacked skills I was being taught at school and no experience speaking English. Consequently I had no one to rely on for help on homework and had no older sibling or anyone else around to help me out. Learning how to read and write properly was difficult, Spanish had been my first language. I learned how to become independent. No one was there to pick me up from volleyball and softball practice, I had to walk across town by myself in order to get home. Getting my homework done and getting to practice by myself became normal. As a child it took me a couple of hours trying to figure out my homework. I had to pay attention to everything I was being taught and ask for extra help in class in order to do any sort of work given to me. In second grade, I had trouble writing sentences with new vocabulary words, despite my parents efforts to help me I struggled for hours working on these assignments. I constantly read books to improve my English....show more content... Being independent as a young child had been extremely difficult, I had no idea how to work on my own. • 3. What Makes A Monster? Essay What defines a monster? Is it their grotesque, unnatural appearance that separates them from the rest of mankind, or is it their lack of remorse and compassion that makes them different? The word monster conjures up figures from gothic horror of exotic peoples with horrifyingly exaggerated features, and the kinds of impossible delusive beasts inhabiting the pages of medieval bestiaries. Well at first I thought exactly that. When I used to hear the word "monster", my mind immediately pictured the petrifying beast that took residence under my bed for a substantial portion of my childhood. It had demonic beating red eyes, razor sharp teeth that glistened with fresh blood and amphibian like scales covering every inch of its enormous body. However, as I got older, I started to realize that there was no such thing as monsters and that it was all just a figment of my imagination. Accordingly, the fear of the monster under my bed slowly dissipated. Nevertheless, it wasn't until after reading a quote by my favorite author, Steven King, that I was finally able to fully comprehend what the true definition of the word "monster" really was. "Monsters are real, ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes they win". It had taken me awhile to truly grasp what King had meant, but then it clicked. Everyone has a monster inside them, dormant or not. That monster is the voice we hear in the back of our heads, urging us to cheat or to steal, and in some instances, worse. That monster Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Essay About Myself There are three very important aspects that play a major rule in my life. They can be categorized as intellectual, social, and spiritual. My intellectual self is interesting because I am mainly right–brained which means that I tend to use my creativity more than my mathematical skills, also making me a visual learner. My social self consists of friends, family, and my surroundings. I spend most of my time at home with my family. Whenever I am with my friends, I observe their behaviors and listen to their opinions. I am more of an independent type of person. Being with different people has influenced me into appreciating different cultures and beliefs. I have learned things that have now been incorporated into my own set of beliefs and ...show more content... I find that I can only recall long–term memories if they are important to me, or if they are dramatic experiences. A few examples of my childhood memories are my mother reading to me, my grandfather playing his guitar, and my dad relentlessly teaching me how to ice skate, no matter how many times I fell. The people who affect my social life the most are my family and friends. I have an extremely close family that has played a major role in my life. They are whom I spend most of my spare time with. My family usually gathers every weekend for dinner. I am also very open to different religions, cultures, and practices because I know many people with different backgrounds and beliefs. Since I've been influenced by various people, I've learned at a very young age to never judge people by how they look, dress, feel, or act. I am very fortunate to have learned these lessons, because many people still do not understand the importance of accepting differences. In a group, I prefer to listen to what others have to say, and then contribute to the discussion. I try to listen so I am able to compare them to my own thoughts. I enjoy working in a group, because it gives everyone an opportunity to incorporate their own ideas. My social self is most greatly influenced by my family and friends. I believe that my spiritual self is the most important out of the three. Although I have a certain religion that I belong to and practice, I believe in a bit of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Digital Media Admission Essay Throughout my childhood, I've always wanted to tell a story from my perspective. I was born with introverted tendencies, and I still have a hard time articulating to people my thoughts. But creating short films has always been an effective medium to express my true self to the audience around me. Most importantly, creating short stories helps me to understand who I am. I would like to be considered for the IFDM program because I believe I was born to tell a story, and I would like the experience of others to help shape my influence. My first experience with digital media started at Volcano VistaHigh School. Registering as an incoming freshman, I wanted to become a photographer. I distinctly remember registering for photography class, but I was stuck with digital media as an alternative. I like to joke that it was either destiny that put me in that class, or a huge mistake. Nonetheless, I instantly fell in love with digital media. My teacher, Jan Sherer, provided me with equipment and software to be able to learn the basics of digital media. Although she was unpopular by most students in her class, I always considered her a mentor. By senior year, I became proficient in most adobe products such as Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition. I also learned different camera techniques thanks to her teachings. She also entrusted me with a cameraman job for the schools daily morning...show more content... What I've noticed with IFDM graduates is that their level of skills in the field they specialize in is astounding. Furthermore, graduates of IFDM have a higher chance of finding a career, or so I hear. I would love to take this program so that I can find my specialty in digital media, and mature those skills to a professional level. • 7. My Writing Essay My Writing In the past four years, I have written many papers for various classes, enjoying some and others having to choke out words to write down. In this memo I will describe my writing projects and how they made me become a better writer, and how they will continue to help develop me into a becoming a more prosperous writer. What I Really Learned in English 100 Well as a recent pupil of the Great McFadden I want to do all that I can to be on his good side, for he said that if I go one mile to meet him, he will go two miles to meet me, which seems more that fair. As an assignment I am told that I have to write what I learned in English 100 and how that it prepared me for English 200. Well sincehonesty is the best way of...show more content... I know that I have more learning to do about writing, and hopefully in the next couple weeks my knowledge of writing will have expanded and my writing will have improved. My Experience With Writing Arguments I am unaware of any writing arguments. The only thing I can really think of is writing a research paper with the intent to change people's minds on a certain subject. I remember researching for weeks in the library, looking through magazine after magazine. I had searched for enough information to write a ten–page paper. The writing process of the paper took several weeks but when I had finished, all the hard work was worth the effort. I learned many things from that course such as that you need to search for all the information you can because it is better to have too much information than not enough. Also that course taught me many things about making references to the authors of the articles I used for my paper. I remember writing out note card after note card and keeping all the necessary information about each book or magazine. That course taught me to become a better writer and to respect how much detail really goes into a research paper like I had written. Other than that, I have not really had much experience in

  • 9. Reflection Paper In Senior year, my only goal consisted of finding platforms that would provide optimal opportunities to convince colleges they need me at their schools. To reach my goal, I took the ACT fives times, constantly checked my GPA average, and volunteered frequently. None of this, however, compares to the biggest step I accomplished while working towards my goal: Completing Composition 1. When I signed up for my first college class, I imagined a scene similar to that of a movie with a huge room containing over one hundred college students brainlessly jotting down notes from a professor's PowerPoint. I did not expect the class to look similar to an average high school classroom. However looks can be deceiving, and upon my journey into a transition between a high school experience to a college one, I found the level of difficulty to increase tenfold. Everything needed more effort, more time, and more evaluation. What I thought I knew about writing was flipped upside down and rearranged. Composition I taught me more than I thought I would learn in the class. The course taught me how to use the writing process to improve my writing and utilize various grammatical sentence structures, as well as produce impressive summaries over any college reading thrown my way. Starting off what would become a semester filled with determination, my professor administered the class with our first true assignment––a grammar exam. The assignment itself consisted of grammatically incorrect sentences that Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 11. My Writing Experience Reading and writing has always created a sense of understanding for me in my art. Reading in the literal sense is a way that we understand text or symbols in our minds which in turn create meaning. Writing also in a literal sense is our way of communicating our knowledge and emotions to others through symbols in text. The human experience for all people includes communication and through reading and writing this experience is created. • 12. My Reflection Writing My biggest area of improvement this year as a writer was my style and structure. Last year, in English I, we learned a writing technique called "The Evidence Sandwich". It was a basic claim, evidence, commentary, structure for writing body paragraphs. This was helpful when I was a freshman, but as a grew as a writer sophomore year, this made my writing sound static and robotic. As my writing progressed through the school year, I started breaking free from that structure, enabling me to add flow and style to my writing, while still maintaining the requirements for a successful body paragraph. Meanwhile, my writing started shifting from pure summary to actual literary analysis. These changes transformed my writing into more improved and polished papers. A challenge I faced this year was my writing process and my work ethic. At first I was very excited about the amount of essay writing time we had in class. However, as the year continued, I found the stress of sophomore year and all my other classes clouding my focus. This made it very hard to sit down in class and work on my essay without reaching to my other binder. I feel that if I had worked harder to focus in class and get more work done, my essays would have been much better because I would have had more material to revise ahead of time and ask Ms. Hursh questions on, and less work to do the night before the deadline. Next year, I will aim to use my time in class wisely so I have more time at home to focus on college and other junior year items. Section 2: Analysis of my Contribution to Class This year, I added to class dynamic by being invested in my classmate's ideas. During small group discussion, I listened to my peer's ideas, and added my own thoughts until we reached an understanding of the context read. I asked my peers questions in small group discussion when I needed clarification and I explained the texts when my peers needed my help as well. Small group discussion is where I most contributed because I feel pressure and I get nervous when I speak in front of the whole class. I fear that I will say something wrong or what I say will trigger conflicting ideas back at me. Therefore, when I am in one on one or small group discussion, I feel like Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The company's creams inventory remains constant because it does not follow a trend in innovation and changes so often as the other products. The surplus in inventory is a big disadvantage since; last year's products may not be in style this year in addition to the cost of storage. For all these reasons their cash flow is less in comparison with previous years causing that Luxor Cosmetics keeps increasing their bank loans, creating more debt, making it harder to pay out as 2011. In this particular situation the company could have either decrease its budgeted sales (productions) or increase its actual sales by improving more effective marketing strategy and research and development of its products in the markets. This way their inventory would decrease and their cash flow would increase. (Hopkins, 2009) Further, through effective marketing strategy Luxor Get more content on HelpWriting.net

There are three examples from the text that I plan to use in my future or now to help me combat my time management in the day to day task. First is to know how much time I am using for studying and increasing that time if needed. Second is to use a system to plan and set priorities. For the class, we were required to write down a list of goals that we would work towards through the class to help improve in writing. On one of my latest essays on Christmas and the reason behind gift giving, I started it early and was able to write paragraph by paragraph in order to make sure I had the correct structure. I can successfully say that I have completed this outcome for every writing assignment that I completed. I have learned that it helps me gather my ideas better and write better when I'm not being rushed like I used to be because I would wait till the last day. For my second outcome, I wanted to make sure that I understood my sources before I started writing my research papers. By this I mean that I wanted to have all my quotes analyzed on an outline before I started my paper so that I would have a clear idea of what I was writing about. Our one research paper that we had to do was our most recent paper on holiday traditions, and at first, I didn't follow my outcome and I just started writing and my paper was poorly organized and structured and looked like I just threw the words all over the paper. However, I do plan on taking these tests at least once, maybe more, so that I will be able to receive a score that I feel is acceptable for myself. I test very well in school, so I feel like I should also be able to succeed on the ACTs when it is time to take them. If I'm not able to do earn a score that I'm satisfied with, it will probably be due to the fact that I didn't prepare myself well enough by practicing on my own. It could also be because I wouldn't focus hard enough during the testing. I possess some writing qualities that could help me and some that could hurt me on the English portion of the ACTs. Before this class I had not written an essay since I was a junior in high school (six years ago). I have always struggled with writing, but it was not until my first diagnostic essay that I realized how terrible my writing skills were. Everything about the diagnostic essay screamed that I did not know what I was doing. Since then, I have noticed a vast improvement in my writing. This class has taught me how to become a better writer by creating stronger theses and by knowing why rough drafts are important to writing. Nevertheless, I still need to develop better strategies to manage my writing. I chose my essays, What Influences Teens To Become Adults and Resilience Among College Students, because they demonstrate my growth throughout this class. Even though I still need to improve on managing my writing, I am confident in moving to EWRT 1A because I have learned how to create strong theses, and how rough drafts have a great impact on my writing. Without a strong thesis an essay falls apart and fails to let the reader know what they are trying to say. For instance, in my rough draft Stop of Reality my thesis was very vague and did not meet the requirements for the essay. It stated, "Although the injustice that these [Native American] women face still continue to this day, the women these three tribes face...will slowly begin to see justice for the crimes that were committed upon them" Get more content on HelpWriting.net
