their own dedicated Project Manager
who was on hand to support them and
answer any queries they had. They
received in-house and online training
on different aspects of the system to
ensure they were getting the most from
their investment. They also had access
to the Sage in-house support desk and
the support database to ensure all their
queries were answered quickly and
efficiently. As well as implementing the
SnowdropKCS software IIED also
decided to take advantage of the Sage
Bureau service which saved them the
cost of an in-house Payroll department.
The impact
Sage’s SnowdropKCS HR solution has
saved IIED a significant amount of time
through streamlining and outsourcing
many of their previous manual
processes. It has made their HR
function more efficient meaning they
are able to focus on their strategic HR
role and HR can provide a better
service for their employees. They can
now accurately record and report on
the changing needs of their employees
accurately and efficiently. Workflow
functionality has enabled them to set
reminders meaning they are able to
respond to situations in a timely manner
as well as run reports and produce
mass mailouts. IIED are also in the
process of implementing the Self-
Service module which will mean their
employees will be able to interact with
their own HR data. This will not only
save the HR department more time
through less administration it will
increase the accuracy of the data.
Further benefits for IIED of the Self-
Service module will include increased
employee engagement through
branding and supporting
communication to the business.

The challenge
IIED previously used Sage 50 Payroll
however this was not linked to their HR
system and they were struggling to
accurately record employee data and
manage the changing needs of their
employees. Too much of their time was
spent on administrative tasks and
recording information in different places.
This meant their time was wasted and
there was potential for error. Their
previous system did not enable them to
monitor absence or create reports
which meant they were unable to
identify issues, trends or support the
business going forward.
The solution
IIED decided to implement Sage’s
SnowdropKCS HR solution which
would streamline many of the manual
processes and allow them to record
and report on their HR data more
