Management of Education Facilities
for the LAND and LIBRARY

INTRODUCTION
 The field of education is one of the mainstays for preparing the human
resources needed to face the challenges of today. Preparation of human
resources in the field of education is carried out from the time of
elementary, middle and high education. To meet expectations in the field
of education, the role of educational infrastructure is very important,
namely to facilitate the implementation of the teaching and learning
process. On the one hand, the expectations imposed on the world of
education are many, but on the other hand the world of education has
many problems that hamper the implementation of teaching and learning
activities in schools.
One of the problems
 One of the problems faced by schools is the problem of educational
facilities. Problems with education facilities faced by schools,
including educational support facilities are not yet fully in adequate
conditions, this can be seen, for example, damaged learning
facilities or not yet available. such conditions, in addition to having
an effect on unfairness, discomfort in the teaching and learning
process, will also have an impact on the reluctance of parents to
send their children to these schools. In order to carry out tasks that
are grouped as the substance of school supplies, it is necessary to
have good management or management of facilities and
infrastructure.
What is Management?
is the process of utilizing all resources in order to achieve
the stated goals. The management of facilities and
infrastructure is basically one of the fields of study of
school management or education administration and at the
same time is the main task of school managers or principals
[1]. Utilization through a process that includes planning,
organizing, directing, and controlling is called management.
Educational facilities
 are equipment and equipment that are directly used and
support the educational process, especially the teaching
and learning process, such as buildings, classrooms,
tables, chairs, as well as teaching aids and media. Thus,
the educational facilities will play a good role when the
use of these facilities is carried out by the relevant
educators optimally.
Management functions as follows:
 Planning is an activity that determines the various objectives and
causes of subsequent actions.
 Organizing is the activity of dividing work between group
members and making provisions in the relationships needed.
 Actuating is the activities of moving group members to carry out
work in accordance with their respective duties.
 Controlling is an activity to adjust between the implementation and
predetermined plans.
Who provides the ‘learning environment’?
 School principals, teachers, parents and families,
community institutions such as your local barangay
council, other community members and the children
themselves support each other in creating and
enhancing the ‘learning environment’.
Educational Land
 means any public or private school building or bus, public or
private school campus, grounds, recreational area, athletic
field, or other property owned, used or operated by any
local school board, school, college or university board of
trustees, or directors for the administration of any public or
private educational institution or during a school related
activity; provided however, that the term "educational
property“.

The Benefits of Libraries for

 For a long time, libraries have served as sanctuaries for many students
and teachers. Libraries aren’t being visited as often as they once were,
but educators can still benefit from utilizing libraries in their lessons.
Additionally, they provide a place of solitude and refuge from the
hardships associated with day-to-day school life. Within the rows of
books, there are other worlds to escape to, history to be revisited, and
information to gather.
Library Importance
 Many consider libraries to be dead because of today’s focus on technology. This
is a common misconception; in fact, many libraries are thriving across the
country. As a teacher, offering the chance for our students to spend time in their
local library will continue the support that is needed for libraries to keep their
doors open.
 Including a visit to your local library in your curriculum can benefit our students.
It is there they have access to the news stories and history of their town that
they cannot find in any other library. Today, many of the libraries’ newspaper
collections and historical photographs are being digitized and are available on
their websites. However, research being conducted on students shows
that information retention for data obtained in print is greater than digital
media. By enabling your students to become library patrons, you are
empowering them to utilize a space that can act as more than just a place to
study. In addition to access to information, libraries offer many benefits as an
institution:

Libraries aren’t being visited as often as they once were, but educators can still benefit from utilizing libraries in their lessons. Additionally, they provide a place of solitude and refuge from the hardships associated with day-to-day school life. Within the rows of books, there are other worlds to escape to, history to be revisited, and information to gather.
  • 17. Library Importance  Many consider libraries to be dead because of today’s focus on technology. This is a common misconception; in fact, many libraries are thriving across the country. As a teacher, offering the chance for our students to spend time in their local library will continue the support that is needed for libraries to keep their doors open.  Including a visit to your local library in your curriculum can benefit our students. It is there they have access to the news stories and history of their town that they cannot find in any other library. Today, many of the libraries’ newspaper collections and historical photographs are being digitized and are available on their websites. However, research being conducted on students shows that information retention for data obtained in print is greater than digital media. By enabling your students to become library patrons, you are empowering them to utilize a space that can act as more than just a place to study. In addition to access to information, libraries offer many benefits as an institution:
