Stephen Howlett is the Chief Executive of Peabody, a housing association in London. Peabody's mission is to make London a city of opportunity for all by ensuring people have a good home, a sense of purpose, and a feeling of belonging. To achieve this, Peabody has partnered with the Big Lottery Fund to launch Activate London, a program that funds community-led projects focused on getting active, healthy eating, and good mental health, benefiting over 50,000 Londoners. Housing associations are uniquely positioned to deliver well-being programs through new locally developed, volunteer-led, and resident-led models of working in cross-sector partnerships.
