 Assessing the situation and the needs of
the community.
 To assess a situation you need to do
research, gather data on your community
and analyze what you find.

 Building capacity means to mobilize people
in your community or geographic location
to address what you discovered through
assessing the needs in step one.

 Use the people that you brought together
through capacity building to develop a plan
based on the assessment from step one.

 Implement the plan. Carry out what you will
be doing.

you collected data for your assessment in
