helps us meet or exceed the standards
set by Federal and State laws and

that helps everyone know and follow
laws, regulations, and policies that
relate to their job.

2. The Office of Inspector
General suggests that ASC's:
• Establish written standards related to
compliance issues;
• • Assign a person to oversee all compliance
activities;
• • Train all employees on corporate compliance;
• • Have a process to report problems;
• • Respond properly to complaints of
wrongdoing;
• • Audit and monitor themselves to ensure rules
are followed; and
• • Take action to correct any problems found.
3. Code of Conduct
• Our Code of Conduct provides guidelines for behavior in our work environment.
• All employees are expected to follow these guidelines. Failure to do so may result in
discipline up to and including firing.
• Each employee has a responsibility to:
• Follow our values and Code of Conduct;
• Learn and follow laws and rules that affect their area;
• Conduct business in a professional manner;

• You are liable for any computer information entered or obtained with your
password.
• Dispose of all confidential information in a way that protects the privacy of
the data.

• Employees and agents will not use their roles with SEC to get any type of

supervisor or other proper person.

and Ethics

relevant laws and regulations.

the media will be truthful,
accurate, and not misleading.

• We will keep true and complete accounting and billing records.
• We are committed to accurate and truthful billing.
• Patients have the right to review their bills.
• We will follow requirements of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
12. Compliance
• Every employee can support our
compliance program by bringing concerns
or problems to their supervisor and the
compliance officer's attention as quickly as
possible. If you still have concerns, follow
the chain of command. If your concerns
remain, speak to the Medical Director.
• The Compliance Officer will research and
address the matter. State and Federal law
protects you from retaliation for reporting
your concerns.
