Oh AT&T! Why did you leave me?
Missing your old
conference call solution?
Breaking up can be hard on
both parties, and rest assured,
AT&T probably misses you as
much as you miss them. But
until you let go of the past, you
can’t fully embrace a new rela-
tionship with someone who
(surprisingly) might end up be-
ing much better for you in the
long run.
You don’t have to host a
full blown web meeting or
be at your computer to take
advantage of WebEx audio.
Set up a Personal Confer-
ence Number (PCN) ac-
count on your WebEx ser-
vice site, and you can con-
duct an on-demand WebEx
audio conference—
anytime, anywhere. You
can create and store up to three PCN accounts from the My WebEx
page on your WebEx site. Each account will have its own unique
host and attendee access codes. … Continued on page 4

Life would be a whole lot easier if more
things came with a “reset” button…
Because stuff happens
But when you’re trying to host a meeting
and things aren’t working right, it’s
extremely frustrating and also a little bit
embarrassing. Having a room full of peo-
ple (even a virtual one) staring at you,
waiting for you to make it work, generally
does not help resolve the situation.
Fortunately, Webex offers you an easy
“Do Over” when it comes to a failed
meeting. All you have to do is abandon
your original meeting and use the WebEx One-Click to start a new
one. The system will send you an email to you with the details of the
new meeting, simply copy the list of addresses from your old invite to
the new one and hit Send. That’s all there is to it and a new meeting
invite is off to your guests in a matter of seconds.
Lost connection to the meeting from your mobile device? You can
get a do over just as easily. Simply tap the WebEx icon to rejoin the
meeting.
These may sound overly simplified, but honestly sometimes the best
“resolution” to a problem is to simply give up and start over again.
The more you use WebEx, the more familiar and comfortable you will
become and the better you will be able to adapt and not miss a beat
when something occasionally doesn’t work quite the way it’s sup-
posed to.
“Change is…
the HARDEST
at the beginning,
MESSIEST
in the middle,
and BEST at the end.”

WebEx Best Practices
1. ) Always connect to
the WebEx before dialing
in. This ensures that your
audio is connected to your
video. Edit your profile to
include your work and
mobile phone numbers. If
you plan to use your
phone line, this is an effi-
cient way to connect your
audio to the WebEx
quickly.
2.) For best audio experience, use your phone line. When using
a mobile device for audio, use earbuds or some other dedicated
device for sound and microphone, you’ll get less feedback.
3.) Missing someone from your
meeting or need to invite additional
people? Use the "Invite and Remind"
feature in the Host’s Control Panel.
Since WebEx
knows who is
invited to the
meeting, it also
knows who has
not yet joined
so the reminder
option is a great
feature.
3. Struggling To
Remember Your
Personal Conference
Numbers?
Try this simple trick. Take a red string
and tie it around your index finger…
Just kidding! Do this instead: Create a
signature in your Outlook for each of
your PCNs. Then all you have to do is
bring up a new email and right click
the signature and select the one with
your PCN –it’s that easy!
Here’s some examples of what your
signature might look like.
US TOLL FREE: +1-800-000-0000
US TOLL: +1-800-000-0000
US TOLL*: +1-800-000-0000

Attendee access code: xxx xxx xxx
*** US TOLL should only be used if the pri-
mary number does not work.***

Unsure about where to turn for
help with WebEx?
There’s been some confusion around what to do and where to go
when WebEx doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to, or when you
have questions about how to do something. So let’s look at the most
frequently encountered issues and how to address them.
1. Having issues with WebEx’s Productivity Tools in Outlook?
Call the Mansfield Help Desk x6400 (SSG), x4400 (RMS),
Option 1.
2. Having issues signing in to WebEx? WebEx is setup for SSO
(single sign on), meaning you are not supposed to have to
enter a username or password, it should use the Windows
credentials you already used to log on to your computer with.
So if it’s not working, call the Mansfield Help Desk x6400
(SSG), x4400 (RMS), Option 1.
3. Need the WebEx Productivity Tools installed? Call the
Mansfield Help Desk x6400 (SSG), x4400 (RMS), Option 1.
4. Have a meeting go “belly up”? Use WebEx One Click Meet-
ing to create a new meeting and forward the invite to your
list of attendees.
5. Have “How To” questions about using or configuring WebEx?
Call the Mansfield Help Desk x6400 (SSG), x4400 (RMS),
Option 3. You’ll be transferred directly to WebEx’s own
support experts.
The Mansfield Help Desk can also be reached by dialing
1-800-438-0048

Setting up your PCN accounts is easy. For security purposes, you must
also add a PIN to your WebEx profile. To add a PIN to your WebEx
profile:
1. Log in to your WebEx service site (https://covidien-
usa.webex.com)
and click My WebEx in the top navigation bar.
2. Click My Profile in the left navigation bar.
3. Scroll down to the My Phone Numbers section and enter a 4-digit
PIN, then scroll down and click Update.
Note: Choose a PIN that is easy to remember but not something per-
sonal or confidential. An address or the last 4 of a phone extension are
good ones.
To set up a PCN account:
1. Click My WebEx in the top navigation bar.
2. Click Personal Conferencing in the left navigation menu.
3. Click Add Account.
4. Click Generate. Host and attendee access codes are randomly
generated and cannot be modified.
5. Click Close. That’s it! You may repeat the process 2 more time if
you’d like, for a maximum of
three Personal Conference
Numbers.

bers as well as a full list of

mands for both Host and At-
