High performers
Creating the new world
“The new meaning of soul is creativity and mysticism. These will become
the foundation of the new psychological type and with him or her will
come the new civilization.” Otto Rank
Otto Rank was of course identifying creativity as an asset in the world of
therapy but, why is this the only application? Creativity has long been left
on the shelf when it comes to the world of work. Companies have
searched high and low for employees who are capable and compliant.
The mantra has been ‘we’ll tell you what to do’.
Recent studies have shown that this is not necessarily the best option when
looking for those key assets for your business. Without creativity how will
your organisation become the ‘new civilisation?’ Harari, et al (2016)
bemoaned the lack of a self-rated creativity tool and this is reflected in
the current assessments for selecting employees.
The MAT80 has been designed with this in mind. Harari’s meta-analysis
(n=7660) shows the population relationship of such scales with task
performance ratings was 0.55, making creativity significant in identifying
those who will perform well. As such the MAT80 contains six scales that
measure creativity in order to predict job performance and ensure that
businesses attract and retain those most likely to succeed.
Designed by Professor Paul Irwing the MAT80 shows a predictive validity of
0.78 (GMAT 0.37) and represents a change in approach for assessing
potential and existing employees.
The MAT80 is the most advanced assessment tool to accurately measure
creativity within candidates.
Built from the ground up and incorporating the insights of Me2 creativity tools

& Leadership and Problem Solving, Creativity & Innovation. By targeting these
