  1. Thanks everyone As I’m sure you’ve realised, this title is an incredibly funny pun – not just on the fact that I used to work at spotify – and now don’t – but it also reminiscent of the situation I believe most marketers, find themselves in . The world is an undoubtedly complex place – and against that backdrop – it is very easy to not know whether you are coming or going, do you circle the chairs slowly, or do you run around them at high speed? Over the next 20 mins or so, I’m going to give you my view – on whats important, on what is happening from a consumer perspective – and how, if at all, that may impact the world of marketing – and I will attempt to summarise If nothing else – that is just a brilliant picture – I think we’d all love to be at that party!!

So, it feels like the best place to start is with some sort of running order – I’ve spent some time looking at latest technology developments – and we’ll chat a bit about those - and what impact they may have on consumers We’ll wander through the world of digital marketing – and dwell on some of the current trends/buzzwords and see what we think about those And then we will finish at the end. With what I think is the real challenge for marketeers
