The goal of this competition is to use the English abilities that you already
have to find and document alternative routes for traveling from Alfa
Fundación Center 1, 2 or 3 to in less than one week.SECRET

Work in pairs - one chief researcher, one chief designer.
Investigate 2 ways of traveling from the door of your Alfa center to the location your
teacher is telling you at the end of the class. You have to be at the location in a
maximum of 168 hours (1 week) from the moment the activity starts.
Make a comparative chart of your 2 possible routes and pick the best - time and
money considered.
Document your travel itinerary by describing every step of your route in a slideshow.
Also include screenshot evidence of all your transportation methods - this is used to
prove your route and calculate the price of your trip.
Deliver your slideshow to the teacher.
The students who find the best route, considering time, price and all other
requirements, will win the competition.

Example: From Alfa to Houston in one day.
I have 24 hours to go to Houston.
I investigated 2 alternatives: by plane
(Aeromexico) and by bus
(Greyhound). If I go by plane, it takes
3 hours but it costs 175 dollars; if I go
by bus, it takes 14 hours, but it’s
cheaper: 45 dollars.
I decided to go by bus, because I
spend less money and it takes less than
24 hours.

So now I just have to go from Alfa to the bus
station.
I googled the location of the station, and it’s
very close to the Sendero subway station and
very close to Universidad avenue. So, depending
on which Alfa center you study, you can take the
subway or a bus to get there.
