I worked with Charles during my time as a Director at STM Malta Trust and Company Management
Limited ("STM"), a company authorised and regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority and
registered under the Special Funds Act as Retirement Scheme Administrators.
Charles commenced his employment with STM in February 2013 as a data management clerk where
he was responsible for scanning and electronically filing (within STM's main data base), all
documentation received and sent by STM. This task required speed, accuracy and most importantly
attention to detail. The information that passed through Charles each day facilitated his
development and strengthened his knowledge in Pension Administration.
I found that Charles had a thirst for knowledge and was very quick to learn. He worked very well
within a team, training any new recruits with immense patience and understanding and also showed
great initiative at times where he had to work alone.
It was not long before Charles progressed to assisting the Pension Administration department with
their transfers from UK schemes to Malta. His dynamic character and exceptional customer service
skills proved to be invaluable in building relationships with the UK Pension companies thus resulting
in securing speedy transfers.
The knowledge and skills gained by Charles during his employment with STM would no doubt have
progressed his career further at STM if it weren't for his desire to return to the UK. I strongly urge
any prospective employer to take advantage of these attributes.
