in a favourable financial position to carry out its

• Suppliers can be defined broadly as vendors, donors, philanthropic
funders, corporate sponsors & the government.
• Recycle.LK is the first to introduce this particular service to Sri Lanka
which makes them stand out from other non-profit organizations.
• Therefore funding will be much higher and demanding as a result of
being a unique project

1. Customer Bargaining Power - Low
• According to the services Recycle.LK offer, its customers fall under
two categories;
i. People who want to trade their unwanted items for items listed on the
site by others.
ii. Low income individuals/families who browse the site to find items that
are free of charge.
• Currently since there isn’t any other online space in Sri Lanka that offer
similar services that Recycle.LK offer, they have the upper hand;
specially with the customers who browse the site to acquire products
for free of charge.

• Substitutes for Recycle.LK will be other online platforms where
customers can resell their unwanted items for money; like eBay,
ikman.lk, laabai.lk, takas.lk etc. instead of receiving prior-owned item.

• Currently no direct competitors in Sri Lanka with an online platform for
recycling purposes.
• Existing recycling companies/organisations focus on other segments
(Polythene, Paper, Spare parts) where they use the acquired wate as
an input for another product.
