 Imagine Working on your Email from anywhere in
your home.
 Imagine that one can able to connect a office files
from anywhere.
 Do you imagine doing all these things easily and
quickly ?
Yes it is possible with WIFI.
What is WIFI
 WIFI means wireless Fidelity.
 In 1997 the institute of electrical and electronic
engineers(IEEE) drafted the 802.11 standard for
wireless local area network.
 In 1999 the companies accepted the standard and
began to manufacture with 2.4 GHZ and was capable
of transmitting at speed of 11mbps.
 In the same year they operate at 5MHZ with speed of
54mbps.

 Mobility
 Easy to installation
 Flexibility
 Cost
 Roaming
 Speed
Disadvantages
 Limited range.
 Data security risks.
 Radiation problems.
 High power consumption.
SOLAR WIFI
 A solar powered WIFI system is launched on JULY 6th
2016.
 These solar wifi run through solar panels.
 This was promoted by CDOT with 100 mbps speed.

 4.Utility meter
 5.Utility grid
ADVANTAGES
 It does not affect any green house gases .
 Installation is very easy.
 Less power consumption .
 Solar wifi can ne used in both rural and urban areas.
DISADVANTAGES
 It is very expensive.
 It may not work during cloudy conditions.
 Range is low.
 Interference problems.
Major differences
WIFI SOLAR WIFI
 Bandwidth is high.
 Frequency of WIFI by
using electrical power is
2.4GHz.
 Minimum range is upto
100mts.
 Security problems.
 Low cost.
 Bandwidth is low.
 Frequency of solarWIFI
using solarpanels is
1.8GHZ.
 Minimum range is upto
50mts.
 Self security is there.
 High cost.
Conclusion
 If it continues the future of solar wifi will be bright
because of its growing popularity and decreasing of
cost.
 The need of clean and portable power source is
becoming more popular in modern world.
 Solar powered wifi provides developing nations
without extended electrical power.
