14. OBJECTIVES:
1. Identify the forms of heat transfer.
2. Perform activities involving heat
transfer.
3. Cite the importance of heat transfer
in everyday life.
17. Precautions!!
Be careful with the hot water, ask the
assistance of the teacher.
Stay away and do not play with the fire.
18. HEAT
-Heat is a measure of
internal energy that has been
absored or transferred from
one body to another.
19. HEAT TRANSFER
-Heat transfer is the movement of
heat from one substance or material to
another. At the same time, it is very
important to note that heat only flows
from a body at higher temperature to a
body at a lower temperature.
21. Conduction is described as the
transfer of heat that happens
when heat energy travels
between two objects at
different temperatures are in
direct contact with each other.
Conduction mainly occurs in
solid objects.
23. Convection is the movement
of fluids like liquids and
gases. In convection , the
heat of fluids is transferred
from hot regions to cooler
regions by means of
convection currents.
25. Radiation is the transfer of
heat by electromagnetic
waves. It can transfer heat
from a source to another
object even without a medium.
The body absorbs the heat of
radiation that makes it warm.
